  • Forza Motorsport 2!

  • Wow. That took an awful lot of people to recreate a song that the Violent Femmes originally did with 3 people...

  • Great cover of a great song, original by 'The Violent Femmes'

  • hmm, I'm gonna go and watch Violent Femmes now

  • i only have to thank gnarls barkley for giving this massively underrated song by an also underrated band the popularity that it deserved.. thank you gnarls barkley keep up the good work!!

  • i luv his teeth

  • VIOLENT FEMMES RULE!

  • Not bad for a fat c88t whith horse teeth!

  • @stevobath What the funk is wrong with you?! he is one of the best singers out there! you got peanut butter in your ears? or are you just deaf? sheesh.

  • @boonaga911 Did I say I didnt think he was a great singer? Even if I didnt like him,its a personal thing. It would be boring if we all liked the same thing ALL the time. Okay I made a silly joke based on how he looks. Im sure hes heard & seen it all before! Oh,I love Gnarls version but still prefer the original.I hope that covers all the bases so to speak? :)

  • @stevobath god...I love him..haha, if I was older I would so go out with him lol:) okay what ever I don't think he's ugly?? just different opinions here:)

  • @MarcusbArtist1 no thanks

  • F***...They seems to always put the biggest smile on my face. xD

  • Amazing!

  • Oh, well any song with a Danelectro on it pretty much seals it for me.

  • Is it me, or does Cee Lo look like the mob boss from Pulp Fiction?

  • @austinthebookworm5 All hater comments will now be answered with "What does Cee Lo Green look like?! Does he look like a bitch?!"

  • Although I like this version, there's something about the original Violent Femmes version that I like better. I think it's the Xylophone that puts the original over the edge for me.

  • Those chicks in the chairs need some REAL dance moves, though.

  • @latester yes what the heck was that? My 79 year old mother-in-law does chair aerobics like that.

  • Those 8 people who disliked have no shame

  • Mr. Green can sing his ass off....

  • I like Cee-lo green better live

    He has an awesome voice

  • it sounded like a fart at the beginning HAHAH but overall excellent (:

  • check out the femmes covering crazy.

  • @pritzpeach Please tell me you know the violent femmes MADE this song and did not cover it.

  • chris motherfucking vrenna!!!

  • i like song and lyrics!! ^^ thanks Gnarls

  • isnt there a music video with some 3D bugs with this music???

  • @Winduct Yes there is!

  • yeah the femmes version is better but its good that it opened the song

  • i must say, this is the best version of the song by far. much better than violent femmes or the studio version

  • Decent cover indeed!!!!!!

  • Wow, a decent cover of the violent femmes. of course i like VF better, but...wow, kudos:)

  • such a soulful voice, 60s sound through and through

  • Waaaaay better than the studio version

  • needs more xylaphone...

  • one of my fav songs of all time :}

  • good voice different to the bug version video

  • so much better than the studio version.. a live masterpiece.

  • Love It! Addictive , donno when can i stop listening to this, so beautiful in its mix of genres and beats.. wanna experience the same, dowload the entire album for free at DownloadMusic/./im, Remove the slashes.

  • ... this song is perfect !!!

  • so glad ceeLo is finally getting his props

  • Cee-lo has insane pearly whites.

  • those are not real. look at his bottom teeth, they are completely different shade.

  • What does he say at the end?

I get the feeling hes talking about the soundboard guy's ending haha

  • Sounds like..."does it matter that the shyt broke off man?"

  • Yes, the original by the Violent Femmes is better. I still do like this song, but you can't beat the xylophone solo =P.

  • I dont get what the dancing ladies in the BaCkground are for but

    duuuude this songs greeeaat!<3

  • @AlexandraTheGulpin

  • this guy is amazing

  • I love this guy's voice.

  • fair play, this isn't half bad.

  • I like "turning blue"

    the best voice

  • Brutally good song!

  • Abbey Road accustics are incredible. I had a tour given to me by Nick Webb an engineer who was mastering one of my singles, including the huge film score studio at the heart of Abbey Road - awesome and well worth a visit!

  • What audience? There's no audience

  • There is no audience at Abbey road.

  • This is possibly THE best cover I've ever heard, the Violent Femmes version is too... bare

  • good to see the audience getting involved

  • Of course I am

  • Luv to see where Cee-Lo has taken his career... I could tell when was with the Goodie Mob he could always do more that hip hop. ....very talented dude... A cross over artist ...yet not a sellout. And where are the rest of those dudes from the Goodie Mob? Haven't heard a thing from them in years...

  • this video rocks

  • Chuck!

  • great violent femmes cover

  • How good is Live At Abbey Road?

    Wow.

  • cee lo is a classic vocalist.... paired with undeniably great percussionists and guitarists...... good times!

  • the video is too cool but i dont find it on youtube

  • Sad thing is, half the people don't know this is a cover.

  • hehe u got that right...

  • I was one of those people until about a month ago, god the Violent Femmes version is so much better. XYLOPHONE SOLO.

  • @rikmomentary I'm a little surprised when people talk about it as if they wrote it, It's a violent Femmes song people! Dangermouse and his band did a nice job though, but cmon, do a little research people

  • @rikmomentary

True but ppl generally speaking know very little bout anything

    Up Violete femmes

  • @maxevill

Violent femmes sorry graet song from them also is a blister in the sun or kiss of

  • @rikmomentary lol so true. The femmes version was much better, but this was pretty good too.

  • @rikmomentary

    whats so sad about that?

  • @koala8 I dunno, I just personally believe that people should know where something came from. For example, all these kids today, don't realize that if it wasn't for blues, jazz, and folk, their music wouldn't exist today. They just think deathmetal, hardcore punk, or anything just sprung out of nowhere. It was a gradual change over time.

  • @rikmomentary well thanks for informing us. i deff check out the original now. :)

  • @rikmomentary thats right this is violent femmes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rikmomentary Seriously? That is sad. I thought the Violent Femmes still had more cred than that. I was just thinking a few minutes ago while looking for this version of this cover that this one of those songs that will never go away. It will be covered periodically from now until the end of time.

  • @rikmomentary Yeah, but the Viloent Femmes suck balls.

  • @megafaded69 Shh.

  • Comment removed

  • Gnarls Barkley is waaaaaaaaay better. That's the one exception to music getting shittier as time goes on.

  • @megafaded69 Shh.

  • @megafaded69 its the same people idiot

  • @aaronthemexican1 I was stating that I like Gnarls Barkley's version more than the Violent Femmes

  • @rikmomentary And so ?

  • @rikmomentary now i know... and knowing is half of the battle.....

  • @Vik1786 GO JOE!

  • @rikmomentary still awesome!

  • this kicks ass that singer is awsome

  • hey i know this on bass really cool song why anyone hasnt put a cover on yt

  • Violent Femmes cover!! He has great taste in music. very good cover. his voice fits the song really well. he should do a bob dylan song. maybe subterranean homesick blues or something else from when dylan went electric

  • Hmmm...I agree.

  • i love the marimba solo in the original

  • anyone knows if the clip is online on yt?

  • hes very hoarse

  • this songs rocks!!!

  • Cee-lo is so badass!!!!!!

  • The.. keyboard?

It's a synthesizer of some sort.

    Which one is beyond me.

  • Not used to hearing someone who can actually sing? What exactly is the problem?

  • Fair enough. I wasn't being a dick I was just curious what you didn't like.

  • what instrument is this at 0:40 ?

  • voyager keyboard xylophone

  • how annoying would it be to be one of the clapping girls - having to do that goddam sweeping clapping thing for three mins

  • i know rite!?

i'd probably kill myself...or hit one of those girls if i was there lol

    luv this song though

  • It's like my first love the lyrics ahh

  • yup

  • GET OUT

  • everyone knows this is originally a violent femmes song right?

  • Yeah, but who cares?

  • violent femmes are sick

  • yeah. violent femmes rock too. i cant pick a fav. i mean.. respect to them for writing it first but.. yeah.

  • of course thats what makes gnarls even cooler, the fact that they would cover the femmes is unbelievable i showed to some of my punk friends and now they fuckin respect them so much more

  • it was originally a book by donald goines

  • it was originally by gordon gano of the Violent Femmes

  • It was originally something this 3 year old girl said in London in 1834.

Her dad left and she was all "Gone. Daddy Gone"

But we'll give it to the Femmes.

  • check the dancing at 0:34ish. if i was 1 of those ladies i'd shoot myself.

as for the performance, fucking quality. (:

  • Man, Cee-Lo is something like a magican with his voice... he has the greatest voice ever... I've heard nothing but Gnarls Barkley for about a week, and still I'm not tired of hearing it ^^
