I have a recumbent for 6 months but havent tried it as I find it so completely different. Can u give some advice about how to get started with it please.
Find a quiet path in the park or something, ideally with a gentle downhill grade. Tray rolling along with your feet just above the ground, putting them down when necessary. When you have mastered "scuttling" along like this, then try putting your feet up on the pedals.
It should all come together pretty quickly after that point. I fell off a couple of times in the first 200-300 miles of riding but after that I've had no problems.
@AbrasiveScotsman: Good advice, though I didn't do the "scuttling" you mentioned. I found the Nazca to be very predictable. I did almost fall a few times, but now after a few hundred miles, I feel very confident riding it. Starting is simply the most difficult thing to do (especially if you have to corner and start peddling at the same time). It is almost impossible for me to start peddling and take a sharp corner, because my feet hit the front wheel that way.
You know something funny... after watching your video last week, I was riding my trike on Saturday morning and I could not get that song out of my head as I pedaled along! Hilarious!
Great video. I like how you got some shots with the camera on the ground and you riding past it. Inspiring me to do more creative stuff wtih my vidoes. I think I need to do one of my commute to work in this style.
Place your's camera on a stick and do amasing video :)
