@orochirel This has been used in almost countless trailers, it's that *iconic* - build suspense and... BOOM! No movie has actually delivered on the promises suggested by the use of this cue in the trailer...

@orochirel Yes, this is where the trailer music for almost every action film made over the last 20 years originally comes from. Aliens is a really good score (I'm not a Horner fan) which was completed under very difficult cirucmstances by Horner and was also his first Oscar nomination. Part of an unused 'Aliens' cue was used at the end of 'Die Hard'.

Pred bomb begins to countdown 0:50 - 0:59

Colonial Marines Haul ass out of the vicinity 1:00 - 1:15

Pred takes off mask and gives victory cry one last time 1:15 - 1:20

Bomb blows up, and the marines make back alive, and the fight is over for now 1:22 - 2:51
