The song at the end is by "The Hives" I think its return the favor or something like that. Personally I don't run with music, throws off my breathing :P
@Cakevspie94 Yeah that's true too, it can really make you run in time with the music which is bad if it's going way too fast or slower than the pace you want to run at! :)
I ran some marathons... then the last one I ran - I had recently become deaf from tumor, so I can't hear anything like u can - I ran it in total SILENCE, and it was my best marathon time!
I started running 8 yrs ago, & what u need to run- is passion! I've been deaf for 3 yrs- and I can still run just as fast or faster- I just ran a new PR less than 2 months ago!
I run to the beat of the wind, the mud, my heartbeat, my steps- to the clouds, and the stars divided; I make my own music! :-)
@RunChick87 I agree, I always hated running with earphones so I've always avoided running to music. Although the music gives you motivation, there's nothing quite like getting completely lost in a trance to the running itself without a distracting tune to pull you back to reality! A lot of people are missing out :))
@jika12 I saw notification for this comment come in through my phone, this afternoon- I noticed it right away, because I don't even use this site a lot... too busy with school and running. Thanks- it made my day! :-)
@RunChick87 :P no thanks i think your story is inspiring and makes me appreciate life even more one day il beat u in a half marathon one day:P not full thats too much for me:P
@jika12 I don't even know what kind of times you run, but sure. My half PR is 1:57. I'm not super fast, but I have a passion for running, and I keep on going- even with a large tumor on my femoral nerve.
@RunChick87 mostly i run 5 to 6 k on a good day when i feel great in 20minutes max. and10k in around 45 to 50 not the fastest but hey i dont train for races so its just great after a run i mean when i do weightlifting i just feel so heavy and i just wanna hit the road again u know running makes me happy if i think about it and thats the reason why is started it again after i gained a lot of weight but this time i will never stop running until i cant anymore u feel the same way?
@jika12 that is cool... good job and keep it up. I don't do a lot of the 10k (mostly farther distances) but I think my best 10k is about 53:40, and that was in the snow!
just bought a treadmill.. but this commercial is making you regret it...

Great advert I reckon it could be time for me to dust off my Nike + iPod and hit the streets :D

with or without music, it makes no difference, all you have to listen to is yourself saying "GO FASTER!"

If you ran as fast as those people at the end do you would last about 200 meters.

unless you have the stamina of a marathon runner

Yeah that is a very stylized movie version of hunting.
Hunters have to be invisible and silent.

why does the whole world like believe you need music to run well? that makes me sad!
RunChick87 2 years ago
maybe... because most of ppl enjoy running with music! ;)

Because music helps motivate people who may not be used to running, an upbeat song does wonders to a person on the verge of giving up.

Does anyone know what the music is called during the "dream" portion? (I think it's a cello.)

i'm guessing it was probably just written for this one commercial. it's a shame, really.
