You use the Rekordbox software which comes included with the player.

@PioneerProDJMedia, I don't get it. Rekordbox doesn't appear to have a 'create database' function.

With an external hard drive containing many thousands of tracks, what does Rekordbox do that enables the CDJ-2000 to search and find tracks when that external drive is connected directly to the CDJ?

@wise005 you must import your tracks to the Rekordbox software, which creates a library.

You then have to export them all again.
