  • This is a very good rendition of the John Phillips tune. One of my favorites and covered very well by you guys.

  • Thanks again, Tim! Have you produced your own version yet?

  • This is a great cover guys. I have saved John Phillips, Joni Mitchell, the Grateful Dead and your version to learn the song myself. Seeing the three of you play reminds me of Norman Rockwell painting the musicians in the barber shop. Nice mix of acoustic guitar, banjo and bass. Nice work.

  • @TDS4UT Thanks a lot for your appreciation! Good luck playing this great ballad with its surprising ending. Just to get you going, the chords are mostly G to Em, with G to A in the penultimate line of the verse, and a G via Bm to Em on the last line. Show us the result on YouTube! Kind regards,

    Art

  • I would like to see you all try out some Garcia/Grishman covers; maybe some SHADY GROVE! You'd rock it out!

  • thanks for the suggestions - we might just do that!

  • OMG- love it! I love the additional 'bluegrassyness'... you could even add a slap bass and a whiskey jug... but really... GREAT!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks for your kind remarks, and thanks for subscribing to our channel! see you on YouTube,
