There are some pretty straight forward legal issues with saving an aborted fetus. The most glaring is that the mother has paid her doctor to provide an agreed upon service, so on what legal basis could a doctor decide to refuse to finish and then make an unwilling patient of the fetus at the expense of the mother, who is his actual patient.

There are some pretty straight forward legal issues with saving an aborted fetus. The most glaring is that the mother has paid her doctor to provide an agreed upon service, so on what legal basis could a doctor decide to refuse to finish and then make an unwilling patient of the fetus at the expense of the mother, who is his actual patient.
Would the mother then be charged hundreds, upon hundreds of thousands of dollars for surgery, life support, etc? Are we the taxpayers supposed to pay?
