  • "Yesterday, I had a dream... A dream I have had since long ago. In that dream, we had yet to turn 13. We were in a vast countryside, completely covered with snow. The lights of the houses extended far into the distance, a dazzling sight. We walked on the thick caprpet of fresh snow, but did not leave any footprints. And like that... 'Someday we will be able to watch the cherry blossoms together again'. Both of us, without any doubt... Thats what we thought. "

  • I felt very sorry for Kanae =(

  • (ノº ロº)ノ 5 cm per second, why Y no come in engrish?!

  • @SyaoranXiaoLi

It does come in English, but I think the only way to easily get it is to order it online unless you can find it on an anime website...

  • Ah, the part where Takaki write message to Akari on his cellphone, but never sends it because the dude doesn't know her cellphone number.

  • I dislike a lot of anime but OH MY GOD. Watching this was definitively NOT a mistake. So happy I did. I have never seen a more touching film that I can relate to with many aspects of my life.

  • wow this makes me feel stupid for what i never did before im glad i found this it teaches a lesson that should never be forgotten i love this film very much

  • @171717yoshi I feel your pain man. This movie brought about some feelings. At least to me it did

  • I just got my heart fucking broken over a girl that took some guy that tried to force her into sex over me.. I broke my back for her.I gave her something that meant alot to me.. People have given me advice. But nothing speaks louder to me than the piano from this film.

  • that's why i love anime.....

  • Its such an amazing love story but its a shame its a sad ending, Its a love that wasn't expressed in time and when they realised it, it was too late because they have both lost each other.

  • Wheres 08?

  • this movie made me feel nostalgic...its a bittersweet feeling :(

  • i saw episode 1 and 3 so that ruined things for me. couldn't bring myself to watch episode 2. And damn that ending's painful like a cliff hanger, but that's what makes it so great too.

  • @StayinOnePiece 2 is by far the best episode imo, only because is shows perspective from another one's eyes on their relationship. you'll have to watch it to know what I mean.

  • love is like a dream...one you wake up from too early, feeling depressed.

  • Where can i buy this album online? original from japan

  • i wish i could download/buy this movie with dutch subs :''(

  • Ok 1:03 really sounded something tchaikovsky-ish

something from a tchaikovsky song I heard ...

  • though i am not veri good at watching all these simple romance anime but it kinda touch me the moment i open the trailer and i kinda addicted to most of the part which i always use it in my dp or blog pictures for the day

  • this movie pulls reality into anime. i love it. it shows how teens have gone through this, and how sometimes life may lead to what kanae went through. how what we love...just isnt there anymore...while others around us loves us...with us knowing. it shows how nobody can get what they want at times. i feel a tingling in my stomach also. i guess thats feeling someone gets when a movie rlly touches ur heart. tears and saddness come. like u can reach the feelings of kanae, and takaki-kun

  • after reading this. my heart started to get a tingling feeling in my stomach too XDDD

  • I mean stomach ._.

  • agpbd, i love what you wrote... it was beautiful.

  • thank you. sometimes words just come to me. but thank u very much. :P maybe you'll read my book "Carved Memories" when i publish it in a few months.. :-)

  • i love this music so much!!!! Thanks for uploading it

  • Somehow everytime a watch this movie, I feel a tingling feeling inside, sad, yet as though sharing my pain of life and all, a feeling i just cant describe. Its as though the movie shares the pain of 'letting go'.

This movie's ending was realistic, after all not everything in real life can be happily ever after. IN life one must learn to let go.

The beautiful soundtracks, amazing art, tear jerking story, its a must watch.

Depicts the true beauty of slice-of-life stories.

  • y that gurl leave that her boy frends?

  • sad and very beautyful =)

  • Maybe it's just me, but for some reason, this song always seemed to have so much more depth than the others, despite that it carries bits of the melody from the other songs.

It has so much feeling...it's amazing how Tenmon can cram all of that emotion in a such a simple song. Fantastical, really.

Plus, this scene in the movie was particularily beautiful. But that's just an opinion (:

  • I can't even bring myself to watch this movie again. It's too hard to watch again

  • @ShadowDaPk for me it's just the same!

  • @ShadowDaPk i think i love the ending, its so realistic and shows us what we have to treasure in life.

  • @ShadowDaPk Same here, Shinkai is by far my favorite director in any medium because his stuff is very good and right up my alley but I have not watched either of his last two films more than once because they drain a lot out of you.

  • @ShadowDaPk I think the same about more than one month after watching this movie

  • I like this song the most out of all the songs in the OST other than the "Ending Theme." I like it because it is not a recycled version of another song, like most of the other songs in the OST.

  • actually if you listen very closely, this is a variation of "Ending Theme," particularly at 0:40 in "Ending Theme." But this is a very unique variation nonetheless. =)

  • @ultimateearner I like the idea that all of the songs are variations of the ending theme, because it keeps it together as a whole as well as it having a symbolic message by itself. It shows how one song can mean or represent different emotions when "portrayed" through different tempos and instruments- just like a person.

  • @ultimateearner Even though they're all the same 2 variations, the mood is different in every song. So it's sort of like it doesn't matter what you play, but how you play it. It goes along with this phrase, "It doesn't matter what you say, but how you say it."

  • 1:15 on is just heart tugging... dont get me wrong the rest of the song is great as well but ..

  • Comment removed

  • man... that ending... the piano.. i feel for takaki.. akari forgot about him long ago and he's still thinking of her

  • I´m going to play this on my piano, I don´t think that I´ll be near as good as this here, but I just have to play it for myself^^, because it´s so touching and so good and... I can´t say what a masterpiece it is^^

  • (tears at corner of my eyes)

    sooo touching...

  • favorite song...

  • 天門は素晴らしい作曲家ですね。

    こうも雰囲気を作り出せるピアノを弾くとは。

    まさに芸術
