as for mobs being able to crit, i think its an element they fixed using the new gear system. yea it is really rough but once you figure it out its easy lol with the adorn slots making up for the tso specific class bonus. crit mit as they say in my opinion is another way of showing how much you work on raiding. for those who dont like to raid....sorry but all end game stuff is based on raiding.

alot of debate on eq2's battlegrounds.... Ok scenario; you go to the nearest burger fast food restaurant and you order a drink and sandwich. the clerk offers to add fries for the same price, now think to yourself and wonder, why would i need fries. cuz maybe there might be someone else who would eat them? just because you dont like something doesnt mean someone else might appreciate it and would be at no cost to you.

I quit forever when they introduced "Focus Damage" and PvP battlegrounds. If I wanted PvP homosexuality I'd go play WoW. And giving mobs unblockable "I win" hits destroys the entire purpose of all that time getting good gear.

i bet everything on that when the new WoW addon is released there will NEVER be mentioned that arthas died. while in Everquest stuff is based on what players do (since the players are the main actors in the Everquest lore)

Gameplay wise i enjoy everquest more too. however the lack of PvP bugs me too. But htat might be solved in the New expansion.

Yep, Same old Same old, A graphic engine that is 6 years and looks horrible, I have 80th in this game but swore off eq2 till they get off their ass and update the graphics. Content is great but when it looks like shit who cares. I am sure a lot of their fans are already playing aion, It time for soe to realize eq2 in its current form is a wash-up and redo the graphics sorry I wont return to finish my 10 levels to 90th while my eyes cringe at the jagged pixels.

You don't even have to max them. Yeah, if you play on Very High Performance or High Performance the game looks like ass, but Balanced and up looks amazing.

Don't want to play EQ2? That's your loss. It doesn't affect my experience at all. One less moron to worry about is how I look at it. So please do stay away from EQ2 and play something else instead.

Things look good. I still believe this is the best MMO out there, as they have refined every aspect of the game. So why am I currently playing WoW when I have 3 80's languishing in EQ2? Easy, the EQ2 playerbase has become agrogant, elitist dips. So few of my casual (tho daily playing) friends are around anymore. I talked 3 friends from WoW into trying EQ2, and all 3 were roasted in channel for asking "stupid" questions. Come on, people, not everyone has played this game for 5 years!!

EQ2 has their far share too.. Not to mention that WoW is talked about in the chat so much that is pretty sickening. Oh and very few of them even use facts to back up their claim. I doubt even half the people who bash the game even played it.

News flash.. WoW = great game - EQ2 = great game.

My main problem with EQ2 is that Sony ( unlike Blizzard ) does very few little things and even fewer are done well. EQ2 Griffon rides are horrible is just 1 example.

i did play both games. to me EQ is more enjoyable since it has alot of little fun things that makes the frustration of grinding more enjoyable. it starts out at things like housing or prestiege items. also the possibility to customize your characters look makes you feel much more involved into the world.

one ting that Everqeust does better than WoW is the lore. WoW lore isnt actually bad (dispite beeing a WH irpooff) but EQs lore is MADE for an MMORPG while in WoW you dont feel involved at all

Sony does very few little things? Look at how much content was added. WoW=2 expansions. EQ2=5 expansions. They add more every patch too =/

I wonder about nightbloods?? Mystics have 1 dot that is stronger against nightbloods only Lol... Paladins/SKs/Clerics/Necromanc­ers all have undead abilities, which are always common mob types, but they need more Nightbloods!!

Wonder if they will ever give Conjurers more summons like they used to have in EQ1?

Personally, I can't wait until Scars of Velious/Shadows of Luclin type expansions, I miss the Ssra Nagas!!
