  • Notice that the only person on that stage who didn't make an ass of himself was RON PAUL 2012!!!!!!

  • Fucking Dirtbags, Replace The word Homosexuals with Negro and none of them would Openly support this foul discrimination.

  • Ron Paul is itching to ANSWER this question.

  • Romney, answer the damn question.

  • If I was in a war, the last worry I'd have is that someone is gay, I'd be more worried about being blown up.

  • These are some ignorant mother fuckers...

  • wow...

    Romney fucked that one up.

  • And this is one of the reasons we choose Obama as our president

  • my father was a sheriff deputy, and before that special forces. He saw combat in a lot of place. He is also Bisexual, and if you can honestly tell me he could not keep his men, kill a man, or operate just as well as straight man then I think you should take a hard look at yourself and ask if you're are able to be S.F. and put your life on the line for your country/.

  • Wow. Can you imagine them saying the same thing about black people back in the day?! Holy crap, this country has a long way to go! How about you ask us, the ones who serve if we care?? Of course not! Most of us know who was gay and who wasn't even during "don't ask, don't tell." Let me tell you, it definately didn't affect unit cohesion. Oh but you ask the leaders at the top who are just as old and conservative (and ignorant) as you!

  • DADT was oppressing gay military men and women to a grand extent. The kind of weight they had to bear from not being able to be honest and genuine about who they are to their fellow soldiers is sickening. Hats of to gays in the military who had to bear this weight, because they continued to serve even though they were oppressed by their forced and unjust omission of a pretty important aspect of their being. Things are changing fast. I just want to fast forward.

  • Wow I feel really bad for that general.

  • Obama will win in 2012,, why? republicans are too bigoted for this tiime!! They boo a gay soldier serving in the military and then they say that conservatives serving in the military might be uncomfortable with gays serving in the military!! Give me a break, there are some in this party that are just bigotted and too radical!! American will not vote for a radical!! OBAMA IN 2012!!

  • Gaggle of biggots. Thank goodness that gays can serve openly now. The ones who can't serve with gays, seek life elsewhere, we don't need someone like you! If you can't handle a gay person in your unit who wants to make sweet love to you, then you can't handle the enemy who wants to kill you! Get over it!

  • Unbelievable. He thanks the General for his service...and then he spits in his face.

  • @VeteranConservative Mitt romney wants to arrest medical marijuana patients. He has lobbyists as advisers. He's evil.

  • "We can't let the gays serve because we might make the conservative kids uncomfortable."

What the fuck? Well it makes me uncomfortable that we discriminate against people on the basis of sexuality. Grow the fuck up, you can deal with the fact that somebody who doesn't have exactly the same values as you is in your unit. That's life.

  • Lol, you are trying to impose your principles on others congressman Hunter

  • Yea, why don't any of you congressman try to see what it is like to be different. Notice how all 8 of them are straight, white, christian, males.

  • @MrHomeslice2013 LOL! Good point!

  • im neither a democrat, a republican, and i am not pushing for a third party-but when watching republicans debate simple "right or wrong" topics, they remind me that republicans are politiclly behind 40 years

  • Being in the military for the most part is a choice. There is no constitutional right to be in it. If you have a problem with their laws then you don't have to enlist. Why is it so important to be presenting your sexuality to everyone? You can still serve for our country.

  • @colorductape

yes but there are gay people who want to serve, it is their choice and they want to be in the military.

the problem isnt that they want everyone to know that they are gay.

the problem is that even if they dont tell people that they are gay people can still find out that they are gay, by no fault of the person who is gay, and they get kicked out of the military for being gay.

so the military is discharging people who actually want to serve.

  • all i know is that next the'll be kicking the good christian soldiers out of the military to make room for more gays and trannys and dogs. the country is going to hell cause of this fag agenda theyre shoving down the common peoples throat

  • Seems to be the chaplins jobs mainly consist to aid in helping all those in the military dealing with sin, why would that change? Hetro's have been adulterous, fornicators and also somdomizers, pedophiles, and so on , so I believe the chaplins have much to still do in the military, quit crying about the gays being the root of all evil, you hipocrites make me sick to my stomach. We are all the same, with fault, grow up america, stop the religious right who cant even admit they are sinners, lol

  • Look out! The evil gays are trying to recruit you!

  • I find it so heartbreaking how these Republican assholes are pretty much saying to this patriotic man "Hey, thank you for your service, but gay people like you are scum and deserve their second class status."

  • I find it so ironic that these candidates are against gays and lesbians in the military. However, during the debate on Fox they were sucking the cum right out of the dicks of their Neocon/conservative base. Spewing all sorts of catch phrases and one liners that they wanted to hear. By the way, maybe if we taught our children to be more tolerant and respectful to others we wouldn't have this "problem" that these Neocons bring up if DADT were abolished. That's just my theory.

  • Romney is a flip flop

  • @nukester your disgusting bigotry is totally unAmerican and completely blind, however look at the gay people in the military who are currently fighting with their lives for your right to be a piggly little bigot.

You're a loser. You devalue the lives lost in the name of freedom, gay or straight.

  • Comment removed

  • @nukester

The vacuousness of your reply is an appropriate summation of you as a person.

  • Comment removed

  • @nukester No your own inability to utilize and comprehend commonly used words in your own vernacular is what brings you down.

Nukester, having an American Flag on your desk, on your house, or in your car window doesn't make you patriotic. The very fact that you have decided to dislike something about a certain portion of society & based on that dislike treat them as second class citizens betrays how unpatriotic you are. It shows your ignorance of what it is to be American.

  • Because of these views, A Republican is not in the White House right now.

  • You should've voted for RON PAUL, GOP.

  • Poor Republicans! What happens when the Republicans run out of people

to scapegoat and stigmatize? It looks like were going to find out. I think the

Republicans are heading for a political derailment. They completely enraged

latinos, almost all blacks will have nothing to do with the Republicans, and the

gay people are totally fed up with the right wing smears against gay people.

Time for a rainbow collition to put divide-and-conquer politics in the history

    books and off the frontpage?

  • How weak-minded and small-minded are the "American people" that by fighting alongside a gay man would at all impede their performance or drive to join the military. The fear in Duncan Hunter's statement is sadly amazing and NOT representative of what I think most Americans believe or feel.

  • I love how Republicans and Democrats wont ever give a yes or no answer. Its bullshit. Stop bullfighting.

  • But doesnt wanting to serve your country show good values?

  • this is where i disagree with my party. Im a proud republican but gays and lesbains have every right to serve openly in the military. If they want to volunteer and serve their country, why not, who cares if they are gay or not. People are born that way in my opinion. I think dont ask dont tell is unconsitiutional and needs to be abolished!

  • The issue is reaching the Lost with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many Christians in the Military, so its a real deal issue. To say Gay is ok is to condemn them Everlasting Torment , we are Called to teach them the Gospel so they can come to know the Lord Jesus Christ and Be Saved!! This is the issue in the Military and out.

The Mililtary protects us with guns and etc..., what if you could save a life, a soul, by Preaching the Good News and did not? Think about it. Jesus is Lord. Amen

  • 1) Gay is okay. People are born that way and there's not a damn thing you can do to change their innate desires, despite what the fucktards at the Liberty Council want you to think.

    2) The chances of the Christian God existing is extrememly unlikely.

  • Don't Ask, Don't Tell: protecting heterosexual harrasment of women and gays since 1993.

  • @Savior20061 you're an idiot.

  • You're an idiot. Now that that's cleared up.....

  • There shouldn't even be a military to begin with. If gays are so anxious to run of and get themselves killed to serve blind nationalism then at least give them dignity in doing so. McCain's point: "it should be continued because it's working." General's point: "It should be discontinued because it is morally wrong." Which argument sounds stronger?

  • than i should have the right to deny a christian anything i want in the same way gays get rights taken away from them

  • Sorry but this country is built on a Godly nation. to much dstraction if gays were allowed openly.

  • Sorry, but this country was founded with the idea that no idiotic religion was to be held above the others.

And how exactly would gays be a distraction.

  • Sorry, but I don't want to be in a shower with gay people lubing up and dropping soap. The question got answered by all the candidates. Keep the queers out. Most queers don't even want to serve anyway but all you need is one in a platoon or something to have an open erection in the shower and that would be the end of his life.

  • Good point...but then again....i'm straight and not attracted to every male i see. I think everyone stereotypes that just because someone isn't straight, that they are attracted to every person of the same sex.

  • Seriously do you even know how many homosexuals are in the military. Just because they don't say it because of the don't ask don't tell policy it doesn't mean a damn thing. Not every homosexual is going to jump on every guy/girl they see. This is what pisses me off. People are so conceited that they think just because someone is homosexual that the person will automatically be attracted to them. Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they wouldn't want to join the military.

  • General Kerr answers this question himself!

He expects the candidates to step up and say that openly gay men and women should be able to serve in the military. Yet he didn't have the balls to come out until after his retirement.

WHY?? Because they would have beat his ass!

Fags are BAD for moral period. The General knew it!

Maybe we should create a sissy brigade or something??

    I'd be cool with that.

  • Thats exactly right, we go through to much overseas as it is, and we have to many distractions as it is, we dont need open gays in the military overseas. it would cause to many problems and dont need n e more problems then we already got.

  • that is just sick

  • Allowing Homosexuals in the military could be the best thing for moral. The ancient Romans not only allowed gays in the military, they encouraged it. If soldiers learn to fall in love with their fellow service men, they'll risk so much more to defend them. And if said lover dies, you can bet the surviver will kill relentlessly. The Roman Empire had the greatest military in Western Europe, the civilization only fell due to problems with the government, the military was still intact.

  • like they said in the speech thats them, not america, this is america not the roman empire it would cause to many problems

  • Like what problems are you mentioning? Seriously I would like to know. All I've ever heard from conservatives is based on personal preference, which has absolutely no place in policy making. Laws are about following logic, not some bronze age book that lacks any morality at all.

  • And flamer(acer),

You won't enlist if gay men are accepted, but you're fine with women being raped in the military as it is?

  • Yeah, imanerd. It's not like that movie was autobiographical, and written by the actual main character, huh?

You probably also don't know that the U.S. military currently enlists GANG MEMBERS and members of RACIST MILITIAS.

  • On McCain: The Generals are conservative and love to shove their beliefs on what they think is moral and hide behind the curtain of "unit cohesion." Look at all the upper level serviceman that say that they are gay and served for in the US military and were treated fine and the unit was fine until the upper chain of command fired them after they found out.

  • CNN so staged this. I love CNN but what they did was soooo wrong

  • what the fuck do militray leaders know about gays or lesbians serving in the army? the only reason it would matter is if we have an army that bigoted, hateful, and disrespectful of gays and lesbians. it's no different than an army that doesn't want to work alongside Muslims, or people of color. fuck these politicians, and their so called "unit cohesion". they are saying what they think the christians want to hear, or what they think their God wants to hear. it's BULLSHIT!

  • Haven't you ever seen "Jarhead"? Yeah, I don't think sexual orientation matters much after seeing THAT shit.

  • Because we all know that movies *never* exaggerate.

  • I sure as heck won't go into the military if they allow open gays in. The last thing I want to have to worry about is some other guy touching me. It's happened to me at my job, and it WILL happen to many men in the military.

  • These people are INTOLERANT at their core.

  • they always tie homosexuality with conduct. i see it this way you dont try a person for being gay or straight u try their actions not their sexual orientation. DADT is retarded

  • So gays can't serve while were in war??? ROFL!!! that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard

  • Why the hell do Republican debates turn into a "Let's see who the most bigoted" contest. It's ridiculous, if you've got the guts to die for your country and serve in a war, your sexuality is complete irrelevant. Unit cohesion? Was the same argument used about keeping units segregated.

  • @david030491 the military discriminates for a lot of things in order to have the best people fight. just because you all don't agree doesn't make it wrong. the military also discriminates against fat people and long hair.

  • @david030491 dont ask, and dont tell, then all gays can serve. no one in the army needs to know if your gay. its is IRRELEVANT to the army. the word gay should not be brought up.

  • @david030491 I agree with your comment 1,000%!!

  • "Most of them are conservatives?" What kind of statement is that? Does he have facts to back that up? No. Is he using his own bigotry and narrow-mindedness to discriminate against many competent US soldiers who happen to be GLBT? Yes. And I can prove it: For my Social Studies paper, my topic was to remove DADT. Everyone in the class-all 29 of them-agreed that it should be removed. The Rebublicans up here make me sick. Thank God none of them will get elected-we don't need to hear their trash.

  • I wonder how much the liberals paid this guy?

  • and let me also say that it is a regret that i have to make my previous statement. i DON"T agree with DADT, but my previous statement was not based on opinion, but observation of new privates in the military. i think its sad that we lose good soldiers to such a silly policy, but its a fact that alot of privates don't yet have the maturity to handle certain things.

  • Parapsycho your right, most don't care, I don't care if the men I work with are gay. The point of DADT is to prevent harassment. As a serviceman myself to answer that question for these politicians unwilling to piss off military men and women, NO they are not currently professional enough, even if the policy did favor open homosexuality, 18 year old privates would still need a Sgt screaming in their face threatening punishment for such harassment because they aren't mature enough.....yet.

  • I don't care if they men I work with are straight.

  • Nor do I, its just sad that in 2008 our understaffed military is nearly conducting witch hunts for homosexual soldiers who otherwise adhere to, and excede the standards set before them. Its a shame. But as I stated, they don't YET have the maturity....but I am optimistic that they will.

  • they are all GAYS in closet...stupid republicans!!

  • LOL, Romney can never answer a question. His answers always,''We should ask these people what they think works''. He has no backbone, and I don't understand how he got so many votes.

  • Hm. The question was entirely loaded. Assuming they think they're not professional enough is not the issue. If they had answered 'yes', then he would say they should repeal don't ask don't tell. If they had said 'no', then it'd look bad on them. Yes, they are! Should we repeal the policy? No! Because it's working. Why change something that's working? On top of that; if you want to truly provide the soldiers with a professional environment, then sexual preference is far too personal.

  • The policy is "working" because it's not being enforced most of the time.

I seriously doubt that the people these candidates are getting their information from are in-touch with the current day-to-day lives of our servicemen and women. The fact is, most dont care, as long as that particular soldier is doing their job.

I was very disappointed to see Romney flip-flop on the issue to try to gain more conservative support.

  • bunch of old white guys....what a surprise

  • If I was gay I would use this to my advantage to NOT serve in the military. If ever there is a draft, anyone could just start acting all flamboyant and not have to serve. Sounds like a good plan to me. I would rather not die overseas.

  • If there was a draft, we might actually have a large enough army to successfully occupy a country and forcefully create a free, democratic country in the middle east, quite possibly saving the lives of homosexuals who would have been stoned to death under the previous government.

I'm not gay, in fact I think homosexuals are pretty weird, but I will defend, to the death if I have to, their right to live.

I support their right to marry too, but I wouldn't die for that one.

  • I dont give a fuck if they are gay and willing to fight for their country but I wont support their marriage thats between Man and Woman

  • they could not give an answer. and the policy isn't working. if it was would the masses be questioning it?

  • DOWN WITH REPUBLICANS! YOUR TIME IS ALMOST OVER....can you feel it?

I want as many openly gays fighting in the military. WHO ELSE could do a better job at psyching out religious muslims?

  • As much as i strongley respect this man for his military service , i dont feel that it's a good idea at all to allow open showing gay's in the military . The military is about respect , courage , and honor and I dont think having open gays is a good idea

  • Unit cohesion AKA homophobia.

  • Romney flumped - They all evaded his question

  • I mean as long as you're respectal of other people I really don't see the problem.

The british forces simply has a "no touching" rule and it applies to ALL members of service.

    No big deal,

  • Agreed. How exactly does dont ask dont tell work? I'd bet most who are discharged were 'outed' by others, as opposed to declaring it themselves. Are they not to ever give off a single sign, not write letters to thier parter, which might be found by a snoop? If thiers a circumstance in which a straight officer is able to apply for compassionate leave because of something relating to thier wife, are gays not allowed that right because that would be telling?

Its reeks of unfairness and prejudice

  • ... the unit cohesion bit? Women serve alongside men in increasing numbers. Shouldn't this in theory create the same problem? For the most part it seems to work well.

  • why didn't they ask Anderson Cooper about DON'T ASK DON'T TELL? I mean, Anderson Cooper is gay and had to keep that secret as he stayed in close contact with the troops while covering them in combat

  • land of the free? home of the oxymoron.

  • heard that.

home of oxymoron and closed-mind idiots.

  • what is wrong with don't ask don't tell? it allows gays to serve but it's never made an issue. not allowing gays to serve is wrong but allowing them to serve openly would cause problems. do u really want to shower with a guy you know to be openly gay? i assume they have seperate showers for women in the army. simply because they have sexual attraction to the men. it is just as wrong to put openly gay men in the with them. don't ask don't tell allows it to be a non issue.

  • I served as a gay person in the military. DADT does NOT make it a non-issue. It unfairly treats gay service members as second class citizens who have to hide their lives. This policy is about religion and NOT what is right. However, gay people shoul dnot jointhe military to serve in this immoral war or for a country that treats them as secind class citizens , civilian or military.

  • amen man, i commend you to the fullest dude i am personally ashamed that this country obstructs the rights that you and every other person that live on this land should have. I wish you the best and hope that one day you as a gay person and I as a straight person can live in a country that does not look at sexual preference, and views you and I as exact equals. Thanks a lot man

  • i agree, the military does not discriminate against those with different religions, financial circumstances or ethnic backgrounds and neither should they discriminate against people purely based on their sexual preference

  • At this point in the game, it's indifference. It's a lot harder to fight indifference than it is bigotry. Thank you brigadier general for your self sacrifice for forty-two years. Even though I was only able to give eight months.

  • aren't you just stereotyping about gays?

  • I love how Romney completely evaded the question. All of the other candidates at least had the dignity to give their views.

  • Everyone knows his views. He is against gay marriage, gays in the military and gays in general he doesn't suppor their right to sodomy.

He has every right to think this way and it does not make him a bigot.

  • He's stated he was in favor of it in the past, as the questioner pointed out. More importantly, the man refused to give a straight answer, just "I'd like to talk with the experts about it" to avoid saying anything he might regret.

Romney has a habit of changing his stance depending on who is asking the question. He isn't a bigot and never has been. He is an opportunistic flip-flopper.

  • I agree Bladeswift, I am for Mitt, however he did himself a disfavor in his response. Gays, should have the right to any American Freedom: Job, Military, etc... I don't agree with Marriage and especially the children issue. He is a Politician, and all the Politicians are Opportunistic flip-floppers. Plus, that could be said for anybody, because we may have believe one way and tomorrow change. That is human. It is our choice to pick the best one, lol. At this moment for me it Mitt 100%. Plus

  • BULL!!! the mans a biggot and thats it.

  • Gay agenda? Gay people aren't trying to recruit. Where do these ideas come from? Here are people who in many cases would be willing to put their lives at risk and they are treated appallingly. I'm an atheist, that's certainly at odds with Christianity, should I be forced to live a double life as well. Should I be booted out of the military? If we hold all our service members to the same standards of integrity then issues like this should be insignificant.

  • @spearwielder what the F*&^% are you talking about? service in the armed forces is no ones "right." which is why Fat people are kicked out. adulterers are kicked out. drug users are kicked out. but so many know it alls insist on tampering with what made us the worlds finest military.

  • This is one thing the GOP has in common with the terrorists - They both hate homosexuals.

  • We are the leader of the free world. Why the heck are we concerned about anybody's sexuality being the mark of either professionalism or sabotage?

  • Does Huckabee value gay soldiers? Would Huckabee vote for or against someone for President if they were gay or mormom? Religion is a choice, being gay is not. Huckabee is a poor example of a TRUE follower of Jesus Christ. Huckabee is an attention seeker and has America fooled. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

  • The comment about that most people in the army are conservative and that they probably don´t want gays in their unit is reason enough to ban openly gay people from the army is pretty funny.

Maybe those gay people shouldn´t have to pay taxes for the war... I mean they aren´t welcome to fight for the oil the republicans need but they are welcome to pay the taxes to send others there.

  • Ron Paul is for individual rights and freedom. It doesn't discriminate any particular group! And, that includes the Gays as well! Individual Rights and Freedom is the fundamental rights that blankets everyone! I'm Gay, and I'm voting for Ron Paul! :-)

  • Leave it to a Right Wing "Bigoted" Conservative Republicans (like Huckabee and Romney)to think that being gay is a choice. You should all be on your knees praying for forgiveness instead of up on your soap boxes twisting God's grace into something only you think you deserve and spreading HATE. Shame on Republicans in 2008!

  • As a gay Air Force veteran, I have read the many studies and reports created by the Pentagon, which all clearly support allowing gays to serve in the military. The Don't Ask Don't Tell policy is an unnecessary violation of the First Amendment because it blocks free speech without just cause. Many troops come out and are openly gay despite the policy, and it never adversely affects unit cohesion or recruitment. Open gays are banned only because of bigotry. It must stop.

  • Should a person fire somebody from work based on one's sexual orientation? Even if the behavior of the person is professional and exceeding above and beyond the company's expectations?

  • continued...and most definitely pro guns which is to say, I have the right to defend myself and others in need of help from any intended hostile aggressions. And like liberal have diagreements on some of the issues of the Democrats, I as a conservative disagree with the Republican stance on the issue of allowing American gays and lesbians to serve their country openly if they choose to do so. They have that right too!

  • And yes...I'm a proud bisexual Republican, bisexual Christian who believes in less government intervention more privatize businesses, pro-lifer which includes saving the fetuses of homosexual babies, pro seperation of church and state which is to say that people should be given the choice of choosing Jesus or not without government intervention, pro deportation of illegal immigrants...

  • I can't wait to see what happens when the war with Iran does happen, and they'll throw in the military draft. Do you think they'll lift the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" Policy only then, or will they still allow it to continue? HHmm, I wonder. If they do, it will be too late to draft because then most won't join a National government that's hypocritical. Folks, we, as Americans, are suppose to be the world leader in the fight for human rights

  • I sincerely disagree with the views on the gay/lesbian community. I was born bisexual, and no matter how much I try to subdue the homosexual side of me, I can't. And I realize, I'm born this way. For a straight person to tell me to stop my bisexuality is the same thing as me asking that straight person to stop his/her heterosexuality. To all you radical Christians in America...are there any differences in the sins of heterosexual, homosexuals, bisexuals, transgendered, or even hermaphrodites?

  • I'm a devout Christian. A Bisexual Christian to be exact. I believe Jesus loves me for who I am, as He would love any sinners who would ask The Lord to come into his/her heart. I also am serving in the military, part-time, and have no problem working with everyone there. In my civilian job, I work with all kinds of people regardless of sexuality. What the heck is the difference. Unit Cohesion? That would be the same as "Teamwork" in the civilian sector.

  • First is was "BLACKS in the military would cause dissention" ... then it was "WOMEN" and now it's the "GAYS." How immature can a nation be?

Take a stroll in the Arlington~Virgigia or the Normandy~France cemetaries. Look upon the hundred of thousands of white crosses & stars of David. Try to imagine how many of these brave and valiant soldiers who gave their lives from their country were in fact "gays."

It's time to rescind "Don't Ask...Don't Tell" and join the rest of the mature nations.

  • Dumbasses, why is this question even being debated?! A person's sexual orientation or gender identity does not affect how you fight. To those who think it is a choice, then you are probably gay.

  • "alexander the great" was so until... he turned "alexander the GAY!" christlike values are what this country was built upon, if you knock that in our protection... we have no protection!!! the whole nation was wiped out because of the MISUSE of this PROCREATION POWER that GOD has given us! let us not repeat history.

  • HOOOAH SIR!

  • it doesn't bring down morale to have openly gay ppl damn idiots. ugh if were in war and our troops are already spread out enough...um i dont think it matters what the hell ur doing in bed. ppl should be able to be themselves in front of their co-workers and friends. damn republican bigots!

  • Hey--killing people's an exclusive right of every straight American to bomb brown people out of existence EVERYWHERE! And good Christians who believe in the inevitable end of days need to have their fingers on the nuclear trigger. Otherwise, we may never get there. The greatest country in the world filled with bigots who hate their kids and try to wipe them out every 20 years like clockwork. As Carlin sez, "Holy SHIT!"

  • gay people can be very distracting to people who are still in the closet. especially when those people are trying to focus on killing kids and other innocent civilians.

  • So, what's that got to do with anything I said?

Who said being a kid or civilian makes you innocent? Which war did you get all your combat experience?

  • Nice question dodge there, Mitt.

  • Just one question to gays who would want to serve. Why would you want to go and serve and possibly die for America, a country that hates you?

  • i served. im gay. the whole country doesnt hate us. just some...but they are ignorant. they just need to learn and if they refuse to understand...then they are just STUPID! anyways, its a younger military these days and most soldiers i knew while in didnt mind at all:)

  • You remind me of Ted Haggard, Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Richard Cutis and a slew of other latent homosexuals that need a hug so badly. They spewed hatred toward and about their own kind. The world is seeing a trend of the most virulent anti gay later being exposed as closet homosexuals. Its ok it's not a bad thing to be gay. Just accept you are and let all that hatred go. We are here for you

  • Funny that you are making all of thses assumptions about hese men. I never heard craig say he was s sodomite. And me having an opinion is hatred. Whoa, have you got a lot to learn about learning about rational views.

  • Please support your claim that I am assuming. Also , are you assuming that I am assuming?

  • No, Dems said during a debate that they couldn't say for sure it will be going on in 2013. They also say, if elected, they would bring the majority of troops home. No one can predict if Iraqis will continue their Civil War in 5 years. Don't lie (or are you misinformed?)

  • Heh, 'Small tight unit'

  • We do not have enough people willing to serve in the military- we are now allowing hardened criminals and mentally unstable to join, which puts the other soldiers at greater risk then gays do. This should not be a major election issue- we should stop being a `war-ing' nation and try peace for a change.

  • It's about time to put the rifle down. Anyone stupid enough to want to join the army should be allowed.

  • Anyone stupid enough to badmouth the army should be put down.

  • Duncan Hunter and Rommney's responses were embarrassingly weak. McCain's response doesn't explain why two soldiers a day are relieved of duty for being gay. Ron Paul has said in the past that people should not be judged in groups but as individuals. Inappropriate acts gay or straight should be dealt with on a case by case basis.

  • Please stop spamming Ron Paul stuff on threads that have nothing to do with him. If you think irritating spam is going to make people vote for him, you're pretty naive.

  • Hunter, Huckabee, and ESPECIALLY Romney really dropped the ball on this one. Kudos to Kerr for standing up to their bulls*#% answers. The candidates are merely spewing a party line, and deeply underestimate the professionalism of our men and women in uniform.
