  • hi, can u tell me typically how long does it takes to heal by itself? Thks.

  • @prettymel66 depending on how painful it is it can take anything from a few weeks upto 2 years

  • @diyinjuryrehab so by doing this stretch exercise, it would expeidate the healing process ? thks.

  • @prettymel66 this stretch will help to lengthen out any shortened area in the muscle connective tissue or any scaared area in the muscle. If this is contributing to your pain then YES it will help your arm 'heal'.

However Tennis Elbow is a degenerative process rather than an inflammatory one. If you have had the pain for over 6 weeks then this is more likely the cause. This means that your tendon that attaches these muscles to your outer elbow are breaking down quicker than they are repairing..

  • @diyinjuryrehab contd.. To properly heal your problem you need to stimulate repair of the cells in the tendon while not causing them to break down faster. This means doing the correct degree of exercise for your level of problem. I have a general set of exercises on my channel. However take my FREE INTERACTIVE VIDEO ASSESSMENT at w w w(dot)diyinjuryrehab(dot)com/tennis-elbow-assessment and find out for sure if you have Tennis Elbow get the correct exercises you need to be doing and stretches.

  • I'm 16 years old, and I've had this problem twice. Once when I lifted dumbells until my muscles gave out, and yesterday when I worked on a curling machine until my muscles gave out. I didn't realize that doing this could potentially cause this problem. It's very very painful and I need to keep my arm extended or else it causes me a lot of pain...what do I do?? do i go see a doctor?? the first time I had it, the pain subsided in a week or 2.

  • quite good flexibility for a man.

  • thankyou so much this made my elbow pain feel so much better!

  • Thank you for your video. I'm not sure if I have tennis elbow. My elbow makes a cracking/popping sound a lot and I get pain. Does this happen with tennis elbow? If I had tennis elbow, what particular movements generally will cause pain? Thank you!

  • @chisaoboy Cracking / popping noises are not normally associated with Tennis Elbow, but the fact that you also get pain might be. Generally Tennis Elbow hurts when you grip something or lift something - even a coffee cup can hurt! To test out your forearm pain use my FREE interactive video assessment tool at diyinjuryrehab(dot)com/tennis-elbow-assessment/ and let me know how you get on.

  • @diyinjuryrehab Thank you. I tried your link but got your site but with this msg: Error 404 - Not Found, The page you are looking for probably never existed therefore, it was a good try. (And yes, I changed the (dot) to a period. ;-) Please advise. Thank you.

  • @chisaoboy sorry mate it works fine for me! you need w w w(dot) at the front as well - perhaps that's the problem?

  • dear god look at the size of that arm

  • I was doing dumbbell pressed with 80 and 90 pound dumbbells for a few weeks and noticed my fingers being locked up then I had pain in my left elbow and couldnt even lift a 25 pound dumbbell without pain. I have tennis elbow from your video. will this really help me. I cant work out anymore, this has ruined my life

  • @buckwheat40 this exercise will help to stretch your Tennis Elbow muscles if that is what is wrong with you. You talk of your fingers locking up that may be something else! Go to diyinjuryrehab(dot)com/tennis-elbow-assessment/ and sign in for my FREE comprehensive video assessment and fill in the response at the end and I'll look out for your results.

  • Thanks a lot ! this kinda relieved my elbow pain. thanks a bunch

  • Hey, thanks, this stretch was great.

  • Your forearms are quite massive. Thanks for informing us with this stretch.

  • How many stretches per day and how much can this help ???, cheers

  • @2wheelsteve repeat each stretch 4 times with a 20 second rest between each and repeat this 3 times a day. it will help to lengthen shortened muscle fibres in the forearm significantly.

  • @diyinjuryrehab Yeah thanks for that, I cant see how they would have shortened really as I even do my press-ups on the back of my hands, I play guitar and pretty active canoeing and all sorts, I will do them all the same, cheers

  • @2wheelsteve have you checked out my website at diyinjuryrehab(dot)com there's lots of info about Tennis elbow there. Try my free assessment to work out if you have Tennis Elbow
