the guy in the chair at the end is the narrator, arthas. He's the lead villian atm in the story of WoW. The paladin that gets 'killed' becomes a Death Knight and commands the undead under him.

Death Knights are the new class in the expansion, and they start out by doing an event breaking free of the lich king's (arthas') control.

Death Knight is a Class yes but there will be some requirements to get the class like your account will have to have a lvl 61 or higher character cause Death Knights start out as lvl 58s.

DCHAWK, we don't know for sure that Arthas will be killed (but it's quite obvious lol), they probably will make at least ONE more expansion. Lol they still haven't put in the Pandaren Race yet. And think of all the fan's who will be crushed who have nine level 80's (one for each class) and nothing to do, besides PvP. So they'll have to do something... Maybe they'll make a StarCraft version of World of Warcraft. Hehe. But I don't think this is the end of WoW just yet.
