Don't forget that Michael loved his father, he forgave him and made up with him in later life - the missing part from this interview shows Michael giving his father the credit for making the Jackson 5 successful. My son loves Peter Pan. He just gets mesmerized when he watches the movie and seeing him fly around neverland and tell stories. It truly is a magical movie. I can see why Michael loves it, he just never grew out of it. Thats sweet. I'm like that too with Snow White and Sleeping Beauty...Michael is like a little poor lost soul..his eyes look so lost and yet so sad. There is a sadness to him but yet he is such a beautiful kind man. Would never hurt a soul. Michael is pure at heart.

Childhood can be wonderful if you feel loved by your parents/family and friends but for a lot of people that is not the reality. When the family falls apart or a child gets hurt by other children/adults or a child is used for purposes that no child should be as Michael was, it can wreck a child's life and takes away that feeling of innocence and can turn them against the world. I think Michael wanted to relive that feeling of innocence he felt as a child and make up for what he didn't have.
Michael Jackson was right.. Childhood is heaven, and growing up is cruel. Children are pure and innocent in heart, and he just wanted to stay like that. The world manipulated him, and victimized him, for trying to be a pure human being. It's a damn shame.

I will agree that the spirit of a child is a wonderful thing.
And perhaps there are some children that dont care about be ignored.
But there are a lot that do.
Alot more children than most ppl realize are very hurt when they get treated as thought their voice doesnt count.

I watched the uncut version of this interview on the Video You Were Never Meant To See. MJ was so grateful about his parents; spoke highly of his father. Nowhere in his explanations did he say he was abused by his father.

I know that Taraborelli was around during the trial, and in the room. And had talked with MJ only a few times since then. So ya, he had to reley on information from the "Camp". and Jackson family. I think over all he still did great with his information, way better then that stupid "Unmasked" tabloid.

I know this from the book "The magic, the Maddness The whole story"
It is very well written, and the Author was a friend of MJ since childhood. He is friends with the entire family and they welcome him.
He documented most of Michaels life and give you details of many things in a very humane way. Unlike some other books out there on the Jackson's. He does not write like a tabloid.
Great insight & understanding to MJ's mind, and the rest of the family. That's how I knew about the driving thing.

Hi! couldn't help but read your comment. J. Randy Taraborelli, knew Michael and the others in the family early on in their careers, but he sort of guessed and used his contacts who might be a bit questionable in Michael's last 15 or 20 years. A good book to read is Aphrodite Jones' "Michael Jackson Conspiracy." Very informative, and Tom Mesereau, MJ's attorney contributed and approved of much of what she wrote. She wasn't a beliver in MJ at first.

Martin Bashir is a slimy dirt bag and was out for Michael's blood. How could he make Michael relive his childhood beatings knowing what his reaction would be? When Michael covered his face to cry at one point, he was genuinely traumatized. My heart was pounding with anxiety for this poor sweet soul. I hate everyone who ever hurt him. By rising above his pain and bringing joy to others, Michael was more of a man in every way than this low life termite who calls himself a journalist.

I am also wondering where all these friends were. I can't see myself sitting back and allowing a person I love so dearly to go through any of the pain and loneliness MJ went through. Now everyone is admitting they knew about his addictions, yet no one took it upon themselves to MAKE him get help. I think that MJ wore sunglasses nearly everywhere he went in order to conceal the sadness in his eyes. His eyes say a million words. Oh, God! Where were his "real friends" when he needed them the most? WHERE? Why didn't they visit him often? Why was he so alone? And now everyone claims that they were friends with Michael. Bashir went into this interview biased. He INTENDED to turn on Michael and make him look bad. I remember watching this and couldn't watch the whole thing as the way in which he turned on him just made em feel sick. Bashir is a knob!
