Sthephen Fry is my favourite human being, of all time. I can not bare describe my feeling in any biger format right now, and I do feel these selected words carry the point.

all psychiatrists do is pri into peoples personal life and ask peverted questions, then try and convince someone they were abused?! and then giv a piece of crappy advice that someone smoking pot cud cum up with, great job! lol
Well not all of them are like this. She gives them a bad name. If the camera's were off, I hope she would be more genuine and less robot like than this.
Well, my experience has been good, which is why it makes me sad to think others have had such an unfortunate time. I'm sorry you've come away feeling negative about them. :(
what's that word he uses in relation to his fathers feelings... pa-seesh, sounds French, can anyone tell me what it means? I can't spell it so I can't find it..
No, that's media and TV for me, and perhaps some incompetent persons which has slanted the psychiatrist in a truly peculiar way. That's my perception of it. I removed my former comment. Late in the night I usually write things I tend to regret later.
Over-dramatizing thing is the nature of TV, and it wouldn't be far as exciting if it wasn't there. Like in your home kitchen, for instance, oh no, not a comfy spot for it.
Isn't it remarkable the way Stephen talks about love?
I've never met somebody and felt that way. Though, to be honest, I think when it is that immediate and palpable, it is more like infatuation. And he says it's not a physical thing entirely, but he recounts it in pyysical ways. It's how he FELT, in his body, in relation to the world, that was affected.
Cant stand Pamela Stephenson - from "Not the Nine O'Clock News" fame to marrying that Prat Billy Connely - Steven Fry could probably psychoanalyze her - and he is Bi-Polar and has lots of personal issues. He is an amazing ,fascinating human being , she is a FAKE.
yes she interupts, but i think that is to do with her trying to direct the focus of what she is trying to uncover and through her profession is aware of a patients(if you will) ways/tricks of digression, i think she does splendidly
I think it has more to do with the time constraints of this interview.
But that kind of makes the premise of the interview a little bogus, because a psychologist would tend not to do that in a clinical setting and this interview purports to be such a clinical typre arrangement.
The only thing missing from this interview, I think, is talk about his current relationship. Relationships are such a huge part of our lives, as Stephen expresses later talking about his first love, so his current relationship must affect his current state of mind shouldn't it? I know he's very very private about that aspect of his life, but this is supposed to be a revolutionary type of interview, so couldn't he have at least mentioned it?!
I only know from reading Sharon Osbourne's newest book, because she was on this show at some point, that they talk for a lot longer and they allow the person to cut out the things they don't want on television. So maybe he cut it.
is this litigation? getting him to open up and lead him to admit his guilt ... or here, his pain? and will you start preaching your religion next?

You can clearly see how fascinatingly none judgmental fry is when he is front of someone annoyingly judgmental

I'm sad Fry didn't get along with his father, but I like the idea of his father being Sherlock Holmes.
