Would be kind of nice if they did. I for one would love to see a modern rendition of the first form of Cybermen...

To my old ear the voices sound electronic. Give the BBC a break this was 1966 and the transistor had barely been invented. Everything had to be hand-made and not bought from a shop like today.

Love the suits. Very high tech and full of tubing. My favourite.

wow loads of people think these cybermen gay. they might be gay(GAY??? whats so bad about being gay?) today, but imagine how they might have been perceved back in 1966. they tried they're best to make them scary, and they MUST have succeded in some ways. fair enough if you prefer the modern cybermen(cyBUSmen) but dont call the past cybermen gay!!! and GOD i love the old cybermen!

@auranit freedom of speech be damned the new cybermen are just robots. there is no scary there at all. just marching and an attempt at ripping off the daleks by having a catchphrase (btw not cybermen they are cybusmen as they are from parallel earth, they are neither mondasian nor telosian like our universes' cybermen)

@auranit my friend is actually of the opinion that parallel earth is mondas what with how parallel dimensions work.

regardless, it would appear that the more recent cybermen appearances have been telosian/mondasian despite their sucktacular design.

teh evidence to suggest this is pretty high, firstly for about two years they have lacked the cybus logo on the chest (even in the canon adventure game), two the fleet in a good man goes to war. the cybusmen were never said to have such a fleet

@OmegaShenron6574 I think they might be the parallel universe descendents... Built from reverse engineered blueprints from the previous generation.That being said, I think the Borg have more in common with the original cybermen than the Cybusmen do.

@LestatandBerial I wish they would too. Strangely the first three episodes are all in tact, but the most important episode has gone missing, presumed wiped. Luckily, we have some very short bits of crucial footage from that episode relating to regeneration. I wish somebody would find the tapes of Power of the Daleks, Troughton's first adventure.
