Great. People have predicting economic collapses in many parts of the world for many decades, stretching way back to the beginnings of financial systems. The problem with silver and gold is that I have found no matter how long you cook it, it is still too tough to eat. The wife and I have preferred to invest in dried goods and other food stocks. We have a place where we store our "funds" and have also invested in a way to get out of dodge. If nothing bad happens, then we will already have our retirement set. If bad does happen, we're prepared. If the markets go really sound and banks close, gold does no good.
