The black smoke your talking about does not even reach the upper atmosphere it falls back to the ground unlike the gasoline engine's emissions which go above and beyond the upper atmosphere which cause's greenhouse gas effect.

You have to understand that these trucks are "tuned" for weekend trucker festivals. No way they go on the road and smoke like that all week long. On Monday mornings, they go back to "normal" settings (computer / chip) otherwise they would only work to pay the fuel. Don't be so green... some old cars smoking blue and leaking oil are running everywhere and are worst for environment than a li'l diesel soot.

there are some "tuned" trucks on the roads hauling I understand some do turn theres back with a power tuner but the older trucks are not as simple to tune back to regular trucks if you did it wouldent work right with the trans and stuff there are trucks on the road everyday with 700 to 1200 horses there getting 3 miles to the gallon but who really gives a damn.
