  • Oh my gosh!!!! Shoooooo cute!!!!!! He looks like he's doing a little dance... "Look at my tail I can shake it!" lol And who are the 3 idiots who voted thumbs down? lol ^_^

  • I wonder, my ignorance, shouldn't he have an huge and very dangerous quill? maybe it's the camera but it looks almost harmless. I would be scared to see him getting his quill up otherwise.

  • @ChronoPhoenix he's a baby the quils get dangerous over time

  • @ChronoPhoenix 1. It's a baby porcupine (hence the term porcupet)

    2. Porcupines stick out their quills when threatened.

  • SPRUCE??? You SURE? Poplar, yeah....

  • Gorgeous little thing

  • he's using his tail as a mace, lol. He bites with his butt!

  • I like it's tail.

  • Someone please answer:

Is a porcupine only pointy when you threaten it, so then its needles come out?

So then, if that is true, is it possible that if you're trying to pet it, and it spazzes when you touch it, then its spikes will come out??

  • Yup.

But if it knows you then you'd be fine..

  • The quills of a porcupine are always present, it's just a matter of whether or not they are "spiking" them (making them stick outwards). If they are calm and docile, the quills will rest flat across the back. So yes, it's possible that a porcupine will "spazz" while you're petting it and you'll get pricked.

  • The spikes are their hair thats fused together

  • @Insaneymaney A porcupine's spines are always present. It's a common misconception that porcupines "shoot" spines. Their fur and spine combination is always present, but they react kinda likea cat and they "bristle" their fur - making it all stand on end. At least that's what I can remember. Hope it helps. :)

  • @Insaneymaney no the spikes are actually in the middle of his hair yes its hair not spikes that you see his really quills are in the middle of his back

  • @Insaneymaney Porcupines have soft hair which is mixed in with quills. These quills lie flat until the porcupine feels threatened, during which the quills leap to attention. Porcupines do not shoot their quills, but the quills come out easily.

  • when do you have to worry about the spikes and how do you deal with that

  • there so cute when der young! until der old and stick their spikes into u!!

  • weird

  • he is a robot?? :D

  • hhhaaa that is soooo kawii

  • That gall will have a really bad day if it decides to give her a quill or two.

  • Is it having a seizure? :D

    hah.. but cute.

  • that's a cute little dance right there! it's so cute that it almost looks like he's humping the side of the cage o_O but overall he's so cute! more videos please ^^

  • Very cute. Is this a pet?!

  • read the description of the vid

  • porcupets are also to take home, some people do just like with birds, dogs and cats

  • you mean kawii

  • Lol this little guy walks funny. He brings both front legs forward at the same time then both back legs forward.

  • omg this is soo friggin cute!shweet

  • hes so cute!

  • please, MORE porcupet the porcupine!!!!

  • hmm I saw one of an adult it was huge .. bigger than a dog..... with all the quills it had made it look alot bigger than it was

  • this one looks like he has epilepsy. yeah im no expert but it looks like hes having a seizure

  • That's why you're not an expert...

  • LOL!

  • omg this is really neat to see! I think that petting him is a lot like petting a headgehog although hedgehog quills are shorter, it's easier to pet a procupine or hold him when his quills are all lying flat and it would take practice not to get pierced

  • How the heck can you pet this lil' guy without getting quilled?

  • Where can I buy this. I want one.. >_>

  • nifty, these porcupine's looks so playfull :D

  • yes,and you can pet him,is a porcupet hence its name

  • it is a very nice video, now I would like to know something, are porcupets animals for petting or the name is just a misnomer?

  • I think it's just really the diminutive term for immature porcupines, like cat/kitten or dog/puppy -- porcupine/porcupet.

    No?

  • yes they are, porcupets are domestic animals

  • That's cute! Is he learning to push his back upwards so he can use his quills by force for defense?

  • lol crap i dont fit at 00:20

  • HES WORKING OUT... 1-2! 1-2! 1-2! 1-2!

  • they are very domestic animals, hence its name

  • he's totally groovin' out;P

  • He wants to play with that strawberry candy thing. Flick it for him, mom ! Stop talking about silly things like nutrition and flick the candy !

  • Aww. Does it have a name?
