Fran Christina..the T-Birds regular drummer, along with Keith Ferguson on bass. This was filmed in 84 (I'm pretty sure) when Stevie got Angela Strehli and The T-Birds on the bills to perform for CBS in Hawaii...they passed on Angela but signed the T-Birds and then released the Tuff Enuff album if I recall correctly.

SRV on a TELE! That is interesting. michaeljjeffrey made an interesting point, but the only reason SRV can do it was because he WAS SRV! Just kidding!

My gear mimics SRV's. And if you plan on plan playing that kind of tone and swapping between a Tele and Strat, plan on making some serious tone adjustments to your amp before plugging in. Years ago, I used to play both and man when I switched from the Strat to the Tele, my amp was screaming from all that treble, I was whistling the entire song.
