Paul Rodgers-- an immortal legend in my book!! Whether it's with Peace, Free, Bad Co., The Firm, The Law--- they're ALL great in a huge part due to him!!! This song from Bad Co's album was perfection at it's best, but, this version here is even BETTER- if you can only imagine!!
Amazing,I never ever thought that I would hear the session again{I was the bassist in PEACE......Stuart Mcdonald .....KILLING FLOOR, SALT currently with THE ELECTRIC BLUES REACTION] I have all the tracks that we did for ISLAND RECORDS on reel to reel.....I have no idea why they were not all released, there were 8 tracks in all. I am so pleased to be able to listen to them again .One happy bass player from mid-WALES.
@saltfloorblues These Peace tracks are great! And kudos to you saltfloorblues, for being a part of creating such cool music-you should be proud. Looking forward to checking out the bands/music mentioned above. Funny, I just finished reading a Hendrix bio where I thought they mentioned the very first song Jimi played out at a club in England-to dropping jaws of course- was Killing Floor.
@gordiebell Nov 4th 1971, Green's Playhouse? The flyer is shown in the book Free - Heavy Load. Wish I was born 20 years sooner, IMO it was the best era for great rock bands. You're very fortunate.
Does anyone know the song that Paul sings at the closing credits of the VH-1 Behind the Music they did for the BadCo reunion about 10 years ago? I've always liked it but neglected to tape the show for posterity.
Awesome version. I had heard Rodgers recorded this track prior to BadCo but had never heard it until now. Brilliant. You know what they sayThe original is always the best. Those vocals..the delivery.....A living legend. The PREMIER soul rock vocalist bar none.
for anyone looking for some early material from paul i suggest the dvd "bad company- a total rock review". theres some really good stuff on there, and he is at his best, just my opinion :-) theres also a dvd of free but i cant remember the whole title.
Thank you Many blessings to you for one I never heard before.. thought I'd heard 'em all. Paul Rodgers' voice is none ever to be compared. Thanks for keeping it Rockin' Real!! xoxoxo Ann

@saltfloorblues Thanks, you guys rock! Have only heard this one and Zero BC. If the other tracks are like this, it'd be great to hear them one day.

Nice!
This song was recorded by Bad Company six years later for the Burnin' Sky LP, but I must say this version is far superior.
Cool early pics of Paul that I had not seen before as well.
