I'm here to tell you that there are numerous ways to get your music to its maximum potential. Toro y moi uses reason, but washed out could be using any other program out there on the market: ableton, logic, cubase, hell he could be using garageband for all we know (although I doubt it). The most important thing is that whatever software he chose, he stuck with it and learned it well.
