I do find it fascinating that after watching such an enlightened talk, a perfect picture of rational and sense, so many on here say, 'he is gay, and atheist, but he is still a good actor', or points to that effect. They have missed the point completely, and demonstrate their own prejudices.

Perhaps being gay and being an atheist is one added reason for his excellent, individualistic acting. Being two such sensible things does most probably push him to a greater level of skill.

Unfortunately, there are organisations like the Intercom Trust in Exeter which are re-writing lgbt history in the UK...excluding & ostracising those gay activists who HAVE made a difference.

I love it that somebody as dignified and distinguished as him is at the same time so funny, nice and down to earth, talking about Coronation Street and George Michael.

And obviously I hugely respect him for his dedication to the fight for gay rights!

Yeah, and he is so far up in life compared to some gay ppl ,but he and few others including Elton John , Rosie O'Donald , and Ellen are some of the gay ppl at the top. It is so amazing that is why I think gay ppl are so cool/
