  • I love how the heavy riffing is emotional.

  • the clouds move, i'm pretty sure.

  • Periphery would be better without vocals. Or at least a better and less vocals. Better vocals, and no vocals in palces that it covers up the music. It seems to me that the vocals clash with the music instead of adding to it

  • @aalegge Or you could just buy the instrumental album

  • @aalegge I agree, the clean vox they use at the moment really doesn't fit the music. If they mixed it up a bit as Sikth used to, I reckon that would work. And would be AWESOME

  • head phones in.. Godma playing on repeat..nighty night..

  • holy djentus! thanks for the perf demos link!

  • Reminds me of Buckethead, which is truly awesome.

  • Fraking Djenious!

  • 1:57 is 1-3-1-4-3-6-1-1-2-1 then 1-3-1-4-3-6-3-2-1 repeat...pretty djenty indeed.

  • The music beautifully animates the picture!

  • Fraking beautiful

  • Very Cloudkicker-y! That should be a compliment. Loving the tone man.

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard. thank god for real musicians who care about what they put out. one day i pray, this will be the stuff playing on the airwaves, not kanye west or lil wayne.

  • Spencer Stiletto may have that higher, annoying Taproot style vocaling however, anyone that can layer vocals and a melody over Misha's mindfucking work speaks highly of their musical talent. His screams are bar-none.

  • @Djentlebear amen to that. people dont give the guy enough credit and hes only getting better.

  • @ThisWouldBeMike Spencer wasnt my first choice of vocals for this band either but, like you said, he can only get better. From what im hearing nowadays he is aswell. He's becoming a perfect fit for the band that want to stand out and I personally can't wait for what tracks will make the cut for the double album coming out in 2012... It will be a glorious year for all ladies and djentlemen!

  • @TheShazbah i cant wait either. just saw them live last friday and spencer was amazing. also met both him and matt halpern. really cool guys.

  • Where can you download (legally) or buy all these single periphery tracks? None of these are on either album.

  • violent on the outside, yet tranquil on the inside. proper :)

  • Ok... so I downloaded the demo file you put under the description, I tried unzipping it with WINrar, and now it's telling me the next volume is required? Any way to fix that?

  • @AvelthorneT Click 'show similar' and download parts 2-3-4 as well. Then unzip in one go.

  • Never heard a song so emotionaly scaring, ( IN THE BEST FUCKING WAY EVER ! )

  • thumbs up if you want the singer kicked out of the band! seriously, everytime I love a song from peryphery, this guy stars puking all over and ruins it for me -.-

  • @0912ish you can't say that about All New Materials. that's his one and only good song.

  • @0912ish let's be honest, our opinion doesn't really matter. They have stated over and over again that they are doing music the way THEY want to, not the way we want them to. They chose to look for a singer which obviously means they want the damn singer in the band. It's their musical vision, not ours, that determines wether Spencer stays or goes.

  • I miss Casey... Love old periphery ex; Inertia and original Icarus lives

  • have you even heard this song with vocals?

I happen to be pretty impressed with spencer, his low growls could be better and his diction while singing but he's really not bad.

And the lyrics that periphery as a whole, although i know a lot was written by casey and chris, are really fuckin good.

I showed jetpacks was yes to my english prof in college and she fuckin loved it, she thanked me for showing it to her lol

  • id say 6,000 of these views came from me.

  • sorry without

  • if you want to listen to periphery with vocals go and listen to bulb dumb ass's

  • I would say this is orgasmic, but this is way better than sex.

  • they should just be instrumental... they dont need some shitty singer to complete them.

  • @MSlabyrinthian It's so true.. (wipes tear from eye)

  • picture win

  • really, these guys NEVER let you down. End of story

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET THIS SONG FROM????

  • @balboatower search youtube to mp3. go on a good, trustworthy and free site. copy/paste the url of this video, download, open in iTunes or whatever music player you use.

  • weird ass tones, but it makes more a surprisingly incredible contrast.

  • truely amazing.. Periphery FTFW!

  • I wouldn't complain if this was the soundtrack of my life

  • how much albums have they?

  • @TheHidden2009

Just the one at the moment, they only debuted recently, but they have countless demos.

  • some songs contain more emotion by having no vocals..

  • @BrutalPodSmoker Completely agree!

  • @BrutalPodSmoker i agreee onehundredpercent man instrumentals bring soooo much more to the table and its better for noddin your head so you dont have the vocals drowning out the music.....dont get me wrong i like vocals but it gets a little annoying sometimes

  • @BrutalPodSmoker7 i prefer songs w/o vocals ^^

  • @BrutalPodSmoker deffinately AAL all day

  • @BrutalPodSmoker Emotion comes from each person in the band playing their specific role, and when you fuze them all together, you have music... unfortunately, the singer doesn't mix with the musicians. This song proves that Periphery's future would be much more unique without vocals, but we only have the power of opinion i guess :'/

  • @guitardawg93 I am so with you on this dude. I had the highest hopes of a true instrumental Periphery album, kinda like Animals As Leaders but more brutal and grinding. Big pity they got a singer. Apart from Icarus Lives I'd rather listen to most songs w/o vocals. Don't get me wrong, the album isn't bad, but the whole direction they took is just disappointing to me.

  • @theSyringe The released it in instrumental version as well, if they continue doing both instrument and albums with vocals I'll continue buying both. It really depends on what kind of mood I'm in wether I want vocals or not; sometimes they add a whole nother level of groove and feel to the song.

  • @theSyringe I like your perspective, however I love both versions, so I feel they should do a mix of both, basically every album release they could release a instrumental and a vocal version, just as they did with the first one. That way you get double the awesomeness! :D I mean the first album sounds completely different somehow when the vocals are taken out, but with the vocals it does also sound amazing :P

  • @theSyringe One of my favorite things about Bulb/Periphery is the relative ease of finding both instrumental versions of their songs and the versions with vocals. That said, I've always been curious of what they'd sound like with some other vocal styles...

  • @theSyringe I agree, but i guess they just wanted something to appeal more to the masses so they could get their genius music out to the world! I would definitely have liked an instrumental album, but i still appreciate the work just as much!

  • @theSyringe Animal as Leaders, aka "Look What I Can Do...Are You Looking?! Look How Fast I'm Playing!"

  • @guitardawg93 if you paid more attention you would know that periphery's stuff is misha monsoors music from his solo project Bulb. periphery just happens to be that project with vocals in it.

  • @BrutalPodSmoker I also agree. [:

  • @BrutalPodSmoker Yeah check out States w Cloudkicker

  • @BrutalPodSmoker i concur

  • @BrutalPodSmoker i like that music can tell a story without words. its a language everyone speaks.

  • @BrutalPodSmoker When they release their new album they should release a instrumental version aswell, yace?

  • @BrutalPodSmoker Just to advocate FOR vocals, instrumental metal can smack of guitar players stringing together every cool riff they made up in the last year. Metal vocals readily humanize the emotions portrayed by the music and provide rhythmic bookends to the complex instrumental phrases. A metal vocalist who can change pitches and styles also provides more complex melodies (as opposed to atmospheric delayed guitar) over the, at this point, trite single chord rhythms.

  • i love that. seriously, the vocals kill a lot of these tracks.

  • @tomrocksyourworld wrong genre for you, head back to your pop station immediately.

  • @tomrocksyourworld you are a fucking idiot
