@SixMrTy hey moron, malays in the malaysian army eat snake, unslaughtered animal and drink piss to survive in the jungle... you are just a lame sotong.
So being thankful, that our country do respect our religion so they dont conclude us muslim.. What's there to argue about.. the main thing, we can still be a soldier to fight and defend our country right??
things will stay like this forever and it will nvr change. coz malays who r rich will keep quiet and dun care about other malays. They wont bother to speak up for other malays. all they care is their own family.
wanna talk about fair? then should the indians and chinese and eurasians get free education too?m im not saying we should, but your yardstick of comparison is very narrow minded indeed.
there's a maly pilot i heard. and a malay general in the SAF.. Singapore is equal and impartial to all in my opinion. my own superior during NS, who is a captain, is an outstanding malay woman herself.
But all that being said, i do believe things are shifting little by little towards "fairness", as we see some Malays holding key roles in the organisation. What's more important is that we take ownership of our life, and if change is what you want, you take the first step towards it.
I see some pretty sensitive discussion going on here. I gonna add my little point of view, but whatever it is it might be, it is just my opinion. We talking about national security here, so things that might jeopardise that will not be allow for sure and you all know as well as i do what those factors are; generally, religion, racial beliefs and cultural beliefs.
The white mask thing is meant to protect the user face from sparks and fire cause by fire. The fire will burn the white thing before it reaches the face or hands.
A phrase from a news article on Commandos 40th anniversary, "Full-time National Serviceman (NSF) 2SG Muhammad Hisam from 1st Commando Battalion". There is even a Malay general now, BG Ishak Bin Ismail, Commander, 6th Division.
Don't be stupid. He is a malay, i've served with him, and he's a damn good soldier. The evidence has already been presented but you keep wanting to pretend that it's not true. I can't tell whether you are that biased and blind, saying only you are right. Do you want to pretend that you're discriminated against so people will take pity on you?
Is that the best you can come up with? Please have the grace to accept the fact that you're wrong. I agree with you, you are baselessly ranting. To feign stupidity means you know something, i ask you not to feign knowledge. If you feel that there are no malays in airforce/commando, why don't you sign on and join? or are you not fit /wise/patriotic enough? If you're in the system then it's understandable, but i'm quite sure you're not. Are you just full of hot air? That would just be pathetic.
I don't have to pretend i know whats going on, and you don't have to pretend you have a best, cause this is simply horrendous. Unfortunately you're not acting are you? Cause the more you refuse to admit the truth, the more your stupidity shows. If you feel so strongly about this, you can always emigrate. But let me remind you that the constitution in Singapore is supposed to give additional benefits to malays.
Hey. We have a system of meritocracy in Singapore. I'm currently serving my NS in 1GDS and my OC is a malay. And he is an officer I respect. It's down to the individual not the race. Be it chinese, indian or malay... LOL...
tanx for the poor comment dat u click it zell2867...im not tryin to be racist dude, but i felt so upset when i was in the infantry, we had an exercise wif the indoneisian, to my suprised they were askin me y i dont c any muslim commandos in singapore....? da only ans i cud giv him was my stupid smile....how i wish i cud c muslim in the navy n air force..no matter wat, long live singapore!!!!
u r talking about 1 malay? yes i knew dat...he's a full colonel pilot of C130....talk to him once b4 at the air show....well, 1MALAY huh..... how about NAVY? well bro. im not trying to be racist or bla bla bla, instead i have 1 chinese friend in the navy, after convert to muslim, he was transfered to 1st transport as a transport supervisor if im not wrong....so sad after hearing dat....NO MUSLIM IN THE NAVY......
i heard this from a s1 officer, he said something like its saf policy to not allow religions to jeopardize its operations, and during enlistment (nt sure abt now) we were asked a series of questions in surveys sheets, some of them are pretty religion/race specific like is religion/race a just reason for war, if u r willing to participate in an act of war with an enemy tt shares the same your same religious beliefs n stuff like tt.
heard that if an individual places his religious/ethnic beliefs above state then he'll most prob b posted to less sensitive units, this applies to every race n every religions not only muslims.

As much as i used to hate NS. I now understand the dynamics and why we need NS.
I do not regret my NS days, but i feel that if my physical capabilities were better, i could do more for my country. Because i love my country!
