If you're rushing, USE A SILENCER. You'd get a lot more kills that way. if the enemy (aside from the one you just killed) doesn't know you're camping the spawn, you'll far more kills before the enemy hunts you down.

2 Bucks: When coming around corners, don't sprint, walk and approach it cautiously while aiming down the sights. This way, you're more prepared if anyone pops around.

Also, except objective-based game modes, try to stay away from hotspots on the map (The base in Array, or the middle of the hotels on Cracked). Basically, try not to go to the middle all the time. Take the routes near the edge of the maps (this'll keep you alive.)

He needs to focus more on the B flag because that is the main focus of the game and also is the deciding factor in who wins the game. If you just defend the area around B and somewhat in front of their spawn, you will in turn win and have a good kd because you will have tons of guys just going for B. And last if your spawn flag is gone and/or B flag is gone, try to be a team player and capture the flag. Even though you have teammates on it already, those extra secs taken off from more players c

This dude has an almost 4.00 K/D and is a pretty experienced player. My K/D is 1.60, so I could use some improvement. I have been improving because I started Bops out with like a 1.20, and it's been climbing ever since.

Obviously KD isn't everything but this guy knows a lot more than me and his advice has helped me, and will probably help most of you out there as you watch me get better.

i came from halo to cod, and i kept a steady 1.2 in MW2, and and right now i think it sits at like .96, after reach came out i just f around in mw2. im not THAT good of a player, but really no one can go 50+/2. and i doubt in his situation that you would have capped ANY flags. The other team didnt look that good, and i doubt you would have capped any flags in his position.

@heroman9962 By 50+/2 do you mean a 50-2 k/d? If so, plenty of people can get scores like that, and play the objective. I had a game a few weeks ago and went 71-5 with 17 defends. I didn't need to capture, because we had 2 flags the whole time.

And while on the general topic, you can't get annoyed if people have higher standards than you. There are a lot of people out there who wouldn't feel satisfied with a 3 k/d most of the time. The harsher you critique yourself, the more you'll improve.

I do play the objective, but there's a difference between blindly running at flags, and playing carefully to survive and defend them. In an average game of domination, I usually wind up with 3-5 captures and generally more defends. But at the same time I'm not happy unless I've got a k/d over 3. If that's ignoring the objective in your eyes then fair enough, but it won't change how I play.

I usually end up with people who about my skill lvl, or above it. i rarely, if ever, find a match where i own. If you were to go up against a team with people your own skill, i doubt you would find it easy to win. if you win a lot, your playing against the wrong people.

Black Ops' matchmaking system may be the worst in gaming history, but I'm not going to complain if I get put against bad players in 90% of games and stomp on them all day long. Certainly, if I was in a party of 6 friends, and was put up against 6 good players in a game of headquarters or something, it would be much more competitive and a lot of fun. But I just don't get that opportunity.
