They really are such a unique, fascinating, refreshing and inspiring lot. The Art of Parties is absolute genius. The way the music is being created and mastered. What a "Band"-capital B essential.
I love all of Japan's OGWT performances, but this is my hands down favorite. I have heard several takes of "Nightporter," and I love this one the best - Steve's marimba is an exquisite addition to the mood. And then later, during "The Art of Parties," you gotta love Mick's funky head bop at 8:38. It just doesn't get any better than this. :)
AGAIN, my upload of these 2 videos was the only 'full version' one out there for ages, but taped off the telly on VHS so the quality is bad compared to this. Thank you so much for uploading all of these Japan tv appearances in this great quality.
R.I.P. Mick Karn.....I´m crying because of such a great loss.....

Literally the biggest collection of talents in the late 70s/early 80s.

Timeless. I have to wonder: did anyone ever catch them slip and crack a smile or start laughing on stage?
