this fan system is just for show and ment to look nice, i know a 120mm fan system that runs at 26,000 rpm with a 12 blade fan, its thrust is 20 pounds, its called the EDF Schubeler DS-94-DIA HST w/DSM 6740-600 motor, look it up, it is the only EDF worth getting.
I like your posts. I was thinking about blade off safety chat. I assume you know that your blade tips could be moving at special speeds. Anyway with this in mind, I was thinking can you not go to ganged ducted fans. That might be safer and probably sound better. I don't know how blade pitches would work for ganged ducted fans.
I don't know but it's worth thinking about before getting a turban.
can you give an idea about the price to build theese things or a good kit to start with for beginners.. i want to get a good one to start with that is able to upgraded a bit
also sorry to hear about the F-16, looking forward to your next one! (and glad you are still in good spirits). Can't wait to hear that new fan and see it thrashing a new airframe! So many blades seems to equal a pretty realistic sound it would seem. I wish that technology would filter all the way down to 70mm.
Wowee...are you sure you want that much power? heheh I`m sure it will launch any rocket you put it on heheh. I`m gona make a guess and say your not putting those on a slow stick??? gr8 stuff bud . wow again ,11 cell lipo? how many volts is that?
Can't I just use a car battery?

what motor on last 20 SEC the yellow big one installed ???
hkccng 2 months ago
well with 14lbs of thrust the battery should be heavy enough to supply that kind of current.

Needs actual turbine engines...

@madjimms Yea, but if he had a turbine in his F16 when it went it, he wouldn't be walking away with anything usuable, at least he still has a engine!

Bad ass
so many blades.
I find it useful to tip the scale up and down to check if it returns to zero.
That doesn't help with the gradient or linearity but these (strain gauge) scales are good.
