@lionroar224 Being raised Christian has a very high percentage of the family becoming Christian as well. Growing up Muslim leaves you at a very high percentage of becoming a muslim. Same for Buddhism, Mormonism, Baha'i, Spiritualist, Hindus and the list goes on. Just take a look at a globe sometime. There is no guarantee that my car will start tomorrow, but based on evidence of the past 10 years, it most likely will.

But being raised Christian doesn't mean anything in the end. One of my friends was raised in a Catholic church and she absolutely refuses to have anything to do with God now. That's how it is a good percentage of the time, unfortunately. Many of the hardcore atheists I know from my hometown were raised in Christians homes.

when i went to the idols tour the year he was on, in portland, i got to meet him and i asked him if he was a Christian and he proudly said yes. when i said i was too, he gave me a high five and was like, "right on!" i was also wearing a shirt that said "Jason Castro is my bestfriend." when i asked him if he would be my best friend, he was like, "Oh of course!" so... we are now best friends. haha. he also gave me a hug and was the nicest guy ever. <3

Poor guy. He was indoctrinated into Christianity by his parents. They pushed their beliefs on him & when they still couldn't convince him, they sent him to a bible camp!
I too was raised by christian parents & never questioned that what they were teaching me could be false. As I grew older I wanted christianity to make more sense, so I studied it amongst other religions. The more I studied them the more it became abundantly clear they are ALL FALSE.

I know that if I'm not asking the hard questions and struggling with the truth, then how much faith am I really putting in God to provide answers? People are persecuted all over the world for their faith, but they keep going and believing it anyway, because it's true.

when i went to the idols tour the year he was on, in portland, i got to meet him and i asked him if he was a Christian and he proudly said yes. when i said i was too, he gave me a high five and was like, "right on!" i was also wearing a shirt that said "Jason Castro is my bestfriend." when i asked him if he would be my best friend, he was like, "Oh of course!" so... we are now best friends. haha. he also gave me a hug and was the nicest guy ever. <3

Poor guy. He was indoctrinated into Christianity by his parents. They pushed their beliefs on him & when they still couldn't convince him, they sent him to a bible camp!
I too was raised by christian parents & never questioned that what they were teaching me could be false. As I grew older I wanted christianity to make more sense, so I studied it amongst other religions. The more I studied them the more it became abundantly clear they are ALL FALSE.
Religion is used to control & brainwash.

As far as having faith; Faith does not give you the answers, it just stops you asking the questions.The church doesn't want people to think for themselves. And if they dare question it, the only reply given is "you just need faith". Sorry but faith is a lazy way of trying to figure out the world around us.

@mstngslly to the person who doesn't have faith, faith cannot be explained, it must be experienced. and having faith is hard work the last thing it is is lazy because one has to get out there and do what you have to do, follow your dreams etc and it is in doing your best in whatever situation whether good or bad that you have faith things will work out. faith wouldn't 'work' if one are lazy, not doing whatever one's job is and expect things to be peachy. & its not that ppl wont think

@mstngslly Faith does not by any means stop the questions. Just because I have faith doesn't mean I don't have doubts. I know that if I'm not asking the hard questions and struggling with the truth, then how much faith am I really putting in God to provide answers? As far as laziness, you've got an incredibly twisted view of faith if you think it's the easy way out. It's not. People are persecuted all over the world for their faith, but they keep going and believing it anyway, because it's true.
