Why is Andropoulos spelled "Andropolous" on these credits? A one-time typo on four character names, or did the spelling of the name change when other writers took over?
omg kim looks so young and is that bobs brother she is with. i know she was married to him first, after john, then bobs brother then bob, whew kim got around. does anyone have the part where barbara and gunner got trapped in the tunnel and that is where they fall in love, i think james did it or had it done. but these were the good days, i used to play sick so i could watch the atwt and guiding light.. if anyone has them scenes please post. thank you
Wow!!, it's been 30 years now as it's 05/16/11 as I write. Who could have imagined then that we would be looking at clips now and LONGING for that good of show again -- and this wasn't even during one of this show's better times!
@QonOUTview Helen Wagner had already left the show at this point, and Don McLaughin would soon follow. With the huge success of "Luke & Laura" on General Hospital all the P&G soaps were trying to "youthinize" their shows to appeal to a younger audience by getting rid of these older characters. The show went through a very rough patch until around 1984 when they hired Doug Marland as head writer. He brought the show back to it's former glory and brought back Nancy & Chris in the process. Yes!
I had a feeling that this is the episode with John's fall. Your copy is in better shape than mine, though. Good for Larry Bryggman, doing that stunt all on his own.
It's strange to see Margo being such a fool about James.
...and so years later, Barbara pays Margo back by pretending to seduce Tom. And so history continues...isn't it wonderful?

Helen Wagner (Helen) had already left ATWT after a falling out with the then Executive Producer. Don MacLauglin (Chris) left ATWT shortly after.

Now John went to the hospital and got his sight back, but pretended he didn't, where is that episode? This was great to see, thanks GenoaCityGuy!

Great cliffhanger.
Was the affair with Margo and James what started the feud between James and John?

In the old days ATWT loved accidents on stairs.

It's sad how far the soaps have fallen from their heyday. But perhaps it's a good thing. They need to go back to telling character-driven stories.
