You should pick up a best motoring video... Rx7s have "snap oversteer"... lol.. funny stuff... Watch those crazy cats whip all types of stock cars into shape... Breath taking drifts in sevens as well as, gasp, bone stock miatas... Seriously, the drift king does a wicked drift in the miata in the -drift bible- .. scary stuff.
@Terribleprimopro actslly the 7 is an excellent drift car with it's 50/50 weight distribution just need suspension set right a good driver and tires. You have to know what your doing in a 7 tho as it's more fickle
@AnimeMaster2 I have an fc. I know. IMO, a diff and a seat are two of the most important things when you are starting. Tires? Nah. I run cheap chinese tires. Nothing special. Big stretch, welded diff (my 2 way liked to unlock on me and felt like shit), lotta camber up front and a GOOOOOOOD seat to hold you in place. You have no idea how much difference a seat alone makes. Fixed back that fits your body like a glove=so good. I love mine!

Maybe more tire pressure with some heel/toe slowing into those tighter turns may have helped out. My friends say "sell it and get a 240" Why? I have too much fun in my fc when it runs. :D It's a drivers car. 240's are everywhere. Nice cars but anyone can weld the diff in a stocker and drift good with a week of practice. 240=drift-o-matic.

Low speed drifting is easy if you know how to work the clutch.
Higher speeds depend on the driver, suspension and tires..... That car wants to grip. Personally, i'd be kicking the piss out of the clutch to smoke the tires up to scrub off speed yet maintain the drift.
It's really hard to keep a good drift going at low speeds, last 3 nights in a small parking lot I've been giving it a go in my FC. I can't link but I'm only going in second, if I had room for 3rd it would be gold.

@terribleoneprimopro sp youre saying that even tightening up the suspension, a 1.5 way LSD, and a broad power band rx7s cant drift?
a stock rx7 suffers from SNAP OVERSTEER. the magic to eliminate this? remove rear sway bar.
on an FD the steering angle is not very good so at a minimum of tie rods and to the extreme, some drop spindles with modified steering rack.
you have to do some work for an rx7 to drift well..... 240s are too easy. weld the diff, shitty tires, have fun
