Thanks Phil, one day I will have to fire up the Vulcans and make another video!

  • @24MikeW04 hey if u do can i be in it im a really good vulcan pilot

  • Sure, but I don't know how. Have you any suggestions on how you could appear in one of my videos?

  • @24MikeW04 have u got flight sim x then go online if u can

  • I do have FSX, but I am sorry, Liam, I do not fly online.

  • @24MikeW04 ok no problem good luck with next one best wishes

  • Thanks, and best wishes to you also.

  • @philboboggins

Phil, Click on 24MikeW04 at the top left of this screen (in blue text) and search for "Vulcan Flight Formation" :-)

Get your second mortgage ready, :-)

  • your a really good pilot and video maker make more like this please really good this video was ! keep it up

  • Thank you.

  • one of the best Evered videos that I have ever seen on you tube how two things with nothing in common can work together is just simply gr8t

  • Thank you. I was asked if I could combine some pipe music with a flight sim video....this was the result. Pleased to hear you enjoyed it.

  • @24MikeW04 can u tell me that screen recorded u used plz

  • I used FRAPS to capture the video clips in FS9 and then used Coral Video Studio 12 to make and edit the video.

  • @24MikeW04 thanks gunna make 1 now

  • Hi Mike, Thanks for sharing. Did you know they had thirteen fuel tanks !

  • No I didn't! Thanks for the info. I must have used quite a bit of fuel to fill up 39 tanks for this video. :-)

  • Hey, Tell you what Mike.I've really enjoyed your videos!! cheers Paul

  • Thanks Paul, I've sent a message to your channel.

  • What's the tailnumber of the plane at: 4:20

    it has nice collors..

The Vulcan Restauration thrust should restaurate this plane

  • Sorry, I don't know. I deleted that aircraft after I made the video.

  • i dont think that 1 is still around i think its scraped

  • They are restaurating 3 planes

    1 is already completed

  • i no but i dont think the green and dark brown i getting restored

  • Nope it was XH558 that wears a grey and green camoflauge that was restored to flying condition

  • i no it was im saying this 1 dont fly

  • Not sure about the tailcode but I know the aircraft was made by Kazunori Ito and available on most download sites to do with FS9/FS2004 as ive repainted it quite a few times :)

  • Very nice video! I ask this question for all the people: do you think that if the vulcan would be in RAF service today it could works well?

  • In modern warfare, probably not. Technology has moved on since they were built and I feel the latest fighter aircraft or missiles would easily take them out.

Thanks for your comments on the video.

  • Today's fighters reach Mach 1.5

    thast's hard 4 the Vulcan.

But with the needed updates it should have a chanse as steilthbomber.

I don't know.. But this is one of the beutiflest planes ever build.

    srry 4 my English :P

  • Quite possibly yea she could, that big delta wing ment that at high altitude around what B-52s operated at in Iraq n Afghnistan she was quite capable of out manouverin an F-15 :o, if the TSR2 had been made as well those 2 together would have been in service as long as the B-52 is for the USAF

  • I think this is absolutely brilliant, lovely moving music to go with the video - pity no-one will ever see three vulcans formation flying ever again!

  • Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it.

You are correct about never seeing a flight of Vulcans flying again. I think, however, we are very lucky now to have one fully serviceable bird flying. Lets hope she contiues to bring enjoyment to all who appreciate such a wonderful aircraft.

  • Brilliant! How on earth did you manage to have three flying like that??

  • Thanks Andy.

    This question is often asked.

You need a module called FSRecorder, just Google it, its freeware.

Basically, what you do is fly a flight, save it, and then replay it and at the same time fly another aircraft in formation with your saved flight. You can do this as many times as you wish to build up formations....but it ain't easy:-)

  • Put together very well. brought tears to my eyes.

  • Thanks Galleyhill, glad you enjoyed it.

  • The sound of this aircraft is INCREDIBLE! I'm wondering if the posting viewers are hard of hearing due to the lack of emphasis on the SOUND. Interesting how the engine sound changes with changes in sim external POV. If only for the sound, this is a must have for a sim add-on. The only thing I ever heard louder was a B-1B from "end-of-runway" POV in parking brake/ full afterburner which rocked the hell out of the B-1B a mere football field behind it. That leaves bone marrow forever changed.

  • Just plain beautiful, and thanks for the credits. There is absolutely nothing like a pipe band with full symphonic orchestra. I will be looking to buy the Dragoon's CD.

ps I'm a side drummer for a Pipe and Drum band in N. California.

  • Thanks Eddie. Sorry for the delay in answering but I used to get a notificaton from You Tube when anyone made a comment on my videos. This does not seem to happen anymore!

  • Ordered "Spirit of the Glen" and have been listening almost non-stop, lol. I'm glad my family likes pipes and drums. Lancaster is one mean piper! Now I've got to find some Kathy Jenkins music too. I'm hooked!

The piece, Mull of Kintyre sung by Will Martin, wow, what a voice. Was that song written by "the" Paul McCartney?

    Eddie

    btw, You Tube notified me

  • I've now got the You Tube notification sorted...one of my sub accounts was down and I did not realised. :)

Katherine Jenkins has a superb voice and has made some fabulous CDs.

Yes! Sir Paul wrote Mull of Kintyre. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • I have this add-on, just owndering how did you get all the aircraft on the aprons and have them moving around, did you have to set scenary detail to high?

  • No, I used a module called FSRecoder, it's freeware, just Google "FSRecorder" and you will find it OK.

What you have to do is record a flight with it, say a Vulcan taxiing, save it in the Recorder, then replay it and at the same time taxi another Vulcan and save that. You can then repeat the process as many times as you wish, as I did to record all the parked Vulcan's.

I also used it to fly the three Vulcan's in formation.

  • the best and most beautifully aircraft but allso deadly :P we dont have the strike capability no more witch is sad

  • I've just given 5* to a FS vid! Must have been good.

Does the Vulcan model come with FS2004? What about the banshee howl? Did you add it?

    Moose

  • Hi Moose

Unfortunately the Vulcan does not come with

FS9, it's a payware add-on......and yes! It really does make that sort of noise on take off, both in the sim and in RL.

Thanks for the 5*, glad you enjoyed it.

  • Might have to update my sim and look at payware vulcans then. I have love affair with them going back to the 60s so to have my own, albeit virtual, complete with banshee howl would be great. Wish simulators had smell too.....

  • Just Google 'RAF Vulcan by Just Flight'. I got mine from Amazon, about £20, well worth it. Comes with Cottesmore scenery, as seen in the video. Fabulous aircraft!

  • No banshee howl - i spwnt time with the Vulcan at RAF scampton - That was the norm for heavyweight take off. I still cry when I see that majestic bird.

  • It's a wonderful machine and the banshee howl makes it. I love that noise. I like others, the B2 for example, but that howl really makes the Vulcan the best.

  • My dad used to be a captain on 9 and 50 sqn at Waddington. Not sure how rare this is but he has lot of cinefilm filming in the cockpit of the vulcan flying over the atlantic on the way to Goose Bay and lots more footage. he used to be Martin Withers co pilot before martin was involved in the the Falklands bombing....

  • Hi motec78,

That's very interesting. If ever your dad passes on any of that film to you, look after it......it's part of our history.

  • I normally hate this kind of video, but I think you've pulled it off to the point that someone should show this to the BBC, throw them a copy of Vulcan 607 and tell them to have a go........

  • Certainly, one of the finest aircraft videos I have ever seen and a wonderful tribute to the Vulcan, an airplane which has always held a special fascination for me and everyone I know. My sincere congratulations on a job well done. Arthur (SnakeEyes)

  • Once again thanks for your high praise of my video Arthur. I am glad it turned out OK. I was not at all sure how the inclusion of bagpipe music would fit in!

    Mike.

  • Very nice video! How did you get all the AI to be parked and also how did you get the AI to follow you?

  • Thanks.

All the other aircraft (except for two statics which came with the airfield scenery) are NOT AI. They are 'live' aircraft created with an add-module called FSRecorder.

The aircraft in the formation are also 'live'. Simply fly a flight and then record it using FSRecorder. Then play that flight as traffic and then formate on to it. You can do that as many times as you wish to build up larger formations. But formation flying is not easy. :-)
