The American translation is 100x better than this. The script/logic of this film fails in comparison. The narration of the American version adds incredible depth, IMHO.
@MartenFerret I am not putting what you say down, but the original American translation had very little to do with the original movie and the newer translation is also different from the Japanese. The American version is not a true translation, but more like an adaptation, as parts were cut out, scenes changed around, or changes to the script. I have not seen the American adaptation, but from what I have heard, they should be treated like different films altogether.
