Dude, Johnny Depp is wonderful and I love him, but he would not have been a good Sirius. People are just saying that because they are too obsessed with PotC, which isn't even that good. Go watch a real Johnny Depp movie, like Dead Man. Anyways, Gary Oldman is an excellent actor (and he really doesn't resemble Johnny at all) and he did a brilliant job of Sirius. His stage presence is amazing, and as you can see in this, he connects with the actors, which is a key.

If they knew what's going to happen to sirius, I'm surprised they didn't have more parts for him in the 4th movie, to build up his and harry's relationship even more, so that the impact is even greater when that scene comes. I mean, Jo built up their relationship in two books, not one, so it had a serious impact when that part came in the book.

Why not? remember Jo doesn't want the movie makers to be literal. Sirius went with Harry to the train station, they could talk there, it's a good way to show Harry and Sirius' relationship and explain why there is a war.

I like when Gary says he adores Daniel, that's great because you can feel that in the movie, like in PoA, it helps to the portrayal of the characters too.

No I agree it doesn't make sence, it's strictlly a Moody moment, and it angers Harry, so now will get a "He's another picture of your parents Harry" moment, it amazes me how films like Batman Begins and Lord of the Ring can focus on so many chracter so you feel you get to know who they all are and the Potter films can't handle more that 5 or they overload.

My guess is that they want to give more bonding time between Harry and Sirius. In the book, Harry didn't want Sirius to show up at the platform, but Sirius went as his animagus form instead. So, I'm guessing for the film, they're actually going to make Sirius surprise Harry at the train station, sorta making Harry worry about Sirius' impulsiveness, but at the same time, let Harry bond with Sirius even more.
