btw , this hero is not completely same hero as dota , his hook has a different function than Pudge, 1: you can move while hooking. 2: you can still hook people when the hook is returning to your hand. And also devourer has higher defence than pudge and that actually change alot.

Stop talking about free to play and pay to play bullshit. HoN is 30$ where buying tier 3 champions in LoL will cost 30$ (If you can't wait ofcoz).

The makers of heroes made dota. I would take a guess that solely for that reason heroes will be far greater when it is released. It already is in beta, dota just does not compare. I'm a long term dota player and I can tell you HoN is dota, perfected. All it is is dota with all the things that piss you off sorted out.
Also - "Most people will switch over from DotA". Yeah. Maybe you should do your own research and read a couple polls in the way. Here's one with a big sample size, courtesy of gosugamers:

It'll interest them down the road when it becomes public. I don't trust surveys as they're very unreliable. Many people said the same thing about MW2 especially that one boycott group and look what happened on the release date of MW2.
I've heard from a lot of people that the graphics engine isn't really appropriate for the game, and they don't like it, which is my own opinion as well. Finally, personally I really dislike the whole concept. It seems suspiciously close to infringement of an idea for profit. Before you say anything about whatever, yes, there is a legal term - look it up. It's not patented, but still, it's somebody's idea, and even though it might not merit a lawsuit (I mean, cmon, lawsuit? lol) it's still theft.

I have 7 beta invites to give.. and to kingGale, not everything is copied, they do have different maps to play on, heroes are way different, than original dota..
Every game originates in another one, but this one is an EXACT copy of Dota down to the hero models, stats, and changelogs (without the balance, I should add). It's a little sad to see so little originality in what is supposed to be a brand new game, after all. You want to make a new game and charge for it, cool. But at least make it appealing to those who've already played the old one or there's no point.
But don't you see how popular dota is. It's not even a franchise. These people are smart because they are making money off something popular. They also improved the game by adding a reconnect function and moving away from crappy graphics (which is sometimes a turn-off to some people)
Yeah - it's a failed marketing strategy. There is a niche for battle arena games, which Dota created. You can't compete with them on these terms. Nobody is going to switch over from Dota to Hon, especially pay money to get a new game that is essentially what they already own. The only way they can sell is attract new users, which - so far - isn't looking good. They won't make money out of it unless they really change it, I bet my ass on it.
They are already making money out of it. It's still in beta stages but many have already paid for the game. Most people will switch over from DotA. You can't say that people won't pay for a new game that is essentially what they already own. Why do people buy Modern Warfare 2 when they already have a perfectly working game of Modern Warfare 1? They want the extra features.
I won't list the features that make HoN better than DotA. You should research HoN before you take your stand against it.
Let's agree to disagree. If you're going to go on about reconnecting, I can tell you right now it doesn't do the trick for me. What does it is gameplay, and in that I haven't seen ANYTHING in HoN that makes it worth my while. But that's fine - people can play anything they like, after all. For me, it's all about the gameplay.
beta key is an activation key like password m8 that the company give for free to some people that are gonna try this game before it official released it is limited so you have to be fast Hon keys are long time now given to people i own 3

@pRmiScUoSpRoDiGy DOTA hardcore players will enjoy HoN more. LoL has a lot of innovative features (Like passive/active toggles. No mana heroes). Both are great games. Stop talking about free to play and pay to play bullshit. HoN is 30$ where buying tier 3 champions in LoL will cost 30$ (If you can't wait ofcoz).

I think the Savage game company should have kept to its Savage 3 game if they ever had it, Savage 2 was a good game.
HoN is good too, yet I dont feel the dota Magic when I play it, I do when i play LoL

The makers of heroes made dota. I would take a guess that solely for that reason heroes will be far greater when it is released. It already is in beta, dota just does not compare. I'm a long term dota player and I can tell you HoN is dota, perfected. All it is is dota with all the things that piss you off sorted out.

It'll interest them down the road when it becomes public. I don't trust surveys as they're very unreliable. Many people said the same thing about MW2 especially that one boycott group and look what happened on the release date of MW2.

I've heard from a lot of people that the graphics engine isn't really appropriate for the game, and they don't like it, which is my own opinion as well. Finally, personally I really dislike the whole concept. It seems suspiciously close to infringement of an idea for profit. Before you say anything about whatever, yes, there is a legal term - look it up. It's not patented, but still, it's somebody's idea, and even though it might not merit a lawsuit (I mean, cmon, lawsuit? lol) it's still theft.

Every game originates in another one, but this one is an EXACT copy of Dota down to the hero models, stats, and changelogs (without the balance, I should add). It's a little sad to see so little originality in what is supposed to be a brand new game, after all. You want to make a new game and charge for it, cool. But at least make it appealing to those who've already played the old one or there's no point.

But don't you see how popular dota is. It's not even a franchise. These people are smart because they are making money off something popular. They also improved the game by adding a reconnect function and moving away from crappy graphics (which is sometimes a turn-off to some people)

Yeah - it's a failed marketing strategy. There is a niche for battle arena games, which Dota created. You can't compete with them on these terms. Nobody is going to switch over from Dota to Hon, especially pay money to get a new game that is essentially what they already own. The only way they can sell is attract new users, which - so far - isn't looking good. They won't make money out of it unless they really change it, I bet my ass on it.

They are already making money out of it. It's still in beta stages but many have already paid for the game. Most people will switch over from DotA. You can't say that people won't pay for a new game that is essentially what they already own. Why do people buy Modern Warfare 2 when they already have a perfectly working game of Modern Warfare 1? They want the extra features.
I won't list the features that make HoN better than DotA. You should research HoN before you take your stand against it.

Let's agree to disagree. If you're going to go on about reconnecting, I can tell you right now it doesn't do the trick for me. What does it is gameplay, and in that I haven't seen ANYTHING in HoN that makes it worth my while. But that's fine - people can play anything they like, after all. For me, it's all about the gameplay.
