This is called by drummers as "throwing a stick" not dropping a stick. A stick should be held so loose a child could pull it out of your hand. All famous drummers at some point in their playing MIGHT throw a stick . Buddy rich kept a bag of about ten pairs at hand.i saw him at a club one night he had a bag of sticks ,about ten pairs. Drummers always keep extras at hand for this. Non drummers can hardly ever see you "throw a stick" " because they grab another one faster than the eye.

This is called by drummers as "throwing a stick" not dropping a stick. A stick should be held so loose a child could pull it out of your hand. All famous drummers at some point in their playing MIGHT throw a stick . Buddy rich kept a bag of about ten pairs at hand.i saw him at a club one night he had a bag of sticks ,about ten pairs. Drummers always keep extras at hand for this. Non drummers can hardly ever see you "throw a stick" " because they grab another one faster than the eye.

Take it from me a drummer who plays multiple shows per month, in several bands, etc. He actually played it off quite well to be honest. Closed minded little bitches.
