  • in the beginning of part 1 they say John Cale is the only singer, Lou sings the most in VU

  • fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • andy loved his putney

  • It's 2011, and the world still isn't ready for The Velvet Underground...

  • Heres the name of the Andy Warhol factory member that is not credited. SUPERDUDE

Superdude is still alive and playing music at nearly 70. He is the person standing right behind Andy in the photo on sonicbids.

It would be nice for him to get some recognition.

    Youtube channel: jp1234productions

    sonicbids url: Superdude

  • Plastic!!!!!! suffocation.. dreadful

  • It's funny seeing Gerard with that whip. He was such a calm, friendly guy when I knew him for a few years in the late '70s and early '80s! Playful, but bookish! Greetings from France.

  • I've got 3 words for you: Lysergic Acid Diethylamide.......turn on, tune in and drop out!!!

  • what is this awful movie about???

it has hurt my ears and i've almost got epilepsy...

    TERRIBLE!!!

In the school I have to make an analysis about this movie......

  • Was this film directed by the same guy who did "Tonight Let's All Make Love in London?" Both films share similar styles.

  • Shooting H with working class drag cleans, next Andy and Lou in the Factory would've been mega.

  • I saw it/experienced The Exploding Plastic Inevitable at the Dom on St Mark's Place. Was it 1966? I was fortunate to meet AW, Nico, Paul Morrisey soon there after.

  • I saw part one, why wasn't Lou Reed listed as a member? I mean, seriously, who the hell wrote these genius songs? And who the hell is singing them? (except for Nico)

  • @freedomsfart and exept for John Cale who's the vocal of this venus in furs live tape. because lou was at the hospital at the time.

  • @freedomsfart indeed Lou Reed

  • life isnt like this anymore, is it?

  • That exploded into some fucking noise jam...

  • I am tired, I am weary..... esta cancion es genial... la combinacion de el incomformismo con el arte¡¡¡¡¡

  • the only reason i wish i could travel back in time!!!!!!!!! awsome

  • what song is this?? it's great

  • @rainyydayy venus in furs by velvet undergrond!

  • @rainyydayy The song is called "Venus in Furs" by The Velvet Underground (from the album "The Velvet Underground & Nico")

  • in the hell!!! with lou lucifer reed and the other velvet devils underground......BE THE DEATH OF ME!!!!!

  • greatest ny band of all time

  • goddamn i love this song. it sounds like it was written in hell and brought back for all the hear.

  • Exactly...Frightening,lurid and most of all..True in a strange way.

  • What a bunch of posers. I'm sure you all would have rejected the Velvets at the time, like most people did.

  • Maybe.. maybe not... But is it a crime to love these guys these days?

  • How time rearranges the molecules of the brain: when I was in college, I'd hear VU and think, Hmm. So what. My idea of a good rock band was something like XTC. Now the greatness of VU is obvious to me. Same with Bowie: late teens, early 20's, I didn't like him. Now I think he's great.

  • I didn't get Television for some reason when I was younger, and I don't understand how or why, they're great. I loved Bowie since I was a teen though. I had the Changes record and played the heck out of it (this was in the late 90s, so I felt like I got cool points for having records). Velvets didn't come till college.

  • very well done.....the VU and Andy are my favs of all time...

  • What a way to start my week....*satisfying* In other words, a very satisfying return.

  • Comment removed

  • 5:15 wow didn't know angela lansbury was part of the factory

  • I red the book, where the song is based on, great piece of world literature, the song is great too, by the way

  • fucking hell man those velvets relly captured somin that was hanging around waitin to be heard - wonderful stuff

  • one of the greatest psychedelic songs of all time

  • Wild, stacatto, sensually incinerating, amphetamine-fueled, violent and absolutey gorgeous. Would trade my soul to go back in time and move in the thick of it, even for one night.

  • what is this song called

  • venus in furs

  • and the second is Heroin

  • duh, the real name is 'Venus is Furs'

  • I know it, it's a preference of mine...Spudmac2000 even wrote it, not an Idiot.

  • venus in furs, komo el libro, idiota u,u

  • *album

  • "Recording a mere four studio albums in its short-lived career, the Velvet Underground established an aesthetic so extreme and alien that it has taken three decades for the world to catch up..."

  • its velvet underground, not doors :)

  • retard WOW :)))))))

  • Awesome job !!

  • great to have this on the Tube!!!! 5 Stars from me!!!

  • yes i would not mind having Gerard Malanga as a birthday present either :)

  • I like Gerard more nowadays than then. It's a Bear thing. ;)

  • Oh is Gerard a bear now? Like Smokey Bear? Or Yogi Bear? :) ;) :)

  • oops. I was thinking more of Billy Name - they always get crossed in my mind.

Though Gerard is kind of rugged looking now, so that appeals to me more than the thinner Gerard.

  • Did you ever see the Warhol thing where Gerard dances while Edie and some other people watch him...he's dancing to "Nowhere to Run," its really funny, and boy is he boogyin! ;)

  • you cannot resist this it is truly a legendary performance by them and anyone that was apart of this or even watched this performance you were in for a big surprise

  • Will someone please give me Gerard Malanga to me for my birthday?

  • my mother and father attended three of the shows and my mother actually met edie, lou, and andy. My parents are amazing also my dad use to party with bob Dylan.

  • man, that's so cool. my aunt met andy. it must have been amazing to meet them all

  • During summer of 1966 I was walking thru Old Town in Chicago and saw a sandwich board sign on the sidewalk saying: Exploding Plastic Inevitable Show.

Went on in. Nothing's ever been he same.

  • @bobdevo that is so fucking cool, holy shit

  • Damn! Gerard Malanga was a major hottie back in the day.

It's also interesting seeing Dan Williams name in the credits. There's a new documentary showing at festivals this year that deal with his relationship with Warhol and his mysterious disappearance. It's called A Walk Into the Sea: Danny Williams and the Warhol Factory. I'm hoping it finds a national distributor and at least makes it to DVD.

    Great stuff...thanks for posting.

  • that was a fuckin great documentary

  • this was great. thanks.
