This is lovely on its own, but it has a special place in my heart. When my grown son was a toddler he had a Fisher-Price record player and it came wth several records. He loved this song in particular and played it almost exclusively. In my mind's eye, I see that beautiful little boy of mine just enthralled with the beauty of this song just as I was enthralled at the beauty of my son as he and I listened to this beautiful song together. Thank you for this post.
I had the great opportunity to visit the town of Salzburg in Austria where they filmed The Sound of Music. It was really nice out there, so soothing to the eyes. Hoping to come back one day and retrace my footsteps. =)
