  • THAT'S MR. FREDDIE KING PLAYING DA BLUES LIKE NOBODY CAN..

  • why don't the idiots put ads on toilet paper so I can wipe my ass with it - cause thats all ads deserve !!

  • ads are going to kill you tube

  • Superb. Impossible not to have your foot tapping...if you have a pulse.

  • This is nothing compared to B.B king.

  • @Masteryouyou Nothing compared to BB King, huh? You ever heard them live? You're not being fair to Freddie if you knock one recording. BB and Freddie are different, for sure, but LIVE Freddie was an overwhelming force of nature. To see BB's show left you over-joyed, but Freddie left me wrung out and begging for mercy!

  • @ghairraigh You know, you're right I can't compare them really...

Cheers mate, to some good music !

  • @Masteryouyou Thanks for your response. It's hard to compare a tame-sounding F.K. 1961 studio recording (those damn A&R guys) with later BB King stuff based on YouTube. The Freddie King stuff I've seen here pales in comparison to my memories of seeing him live in the 70's. In YouTube videos Freddie has mostly Fender Super Reverb amplifiers, 40 watts and 4 ten-inch speakers. When I saw him he had much more powerful Marshall Stack amplifiers, 100 watts with two 4x10' speaker cabs. He sounded huge!

  • Take that Clapton. This is how you do it.

  • Oh Yes..MY Freddie...finger snappin..I love His organ player

  • 0 dislikes! Awesome. I love this song!

  • Salve Freddy King ! definitivamente um dos pedestais do blues !

  • I get what you mean by version. sorry.

  • Not to be sacreligious, but y'all can keep Freddy, Eric, and SRV on this one. Listen to Jeff Healy smoke this tune! Now if y'all want to hear Freddy playing the MFing blues, check him rip on this my favorite Freddy track off all time: Reconsider Baby (YouTube: DBqtY4vMA5o)

  • @michaeljamsmith You're right on both counts; this isn't up to Freddie's standards, but Reconsider Baby (which I hadn't heard) *definitely* kicks ass. Thanks for mentioning it.

  • Had never heard this version before. Best version ev er

  • I learned about Freddy from Clapton's cover of this back in ''67. gotta love Freddy. Love that Peter Gunn section towards the end.

  • TOP CLASS

  • No one will ever master those 6th runs like Freddie.

  • @naabjr Agreed! The first time I hear Freddie's version, well, I thought I had heard it all, until he got to that part. Gives me the shivers even today, just knowing it's coming! Too bad the vid doesn't show him actually playing it. But this is a nice take to have. Thanks for the post.

  • Que lindo!!! Da vontade de dançar uhu!!!

  • amo su musik me encanta

  • He of cause did a lot of different versions himself...

  • This is not a VERSION...this is his original of the song that Clapton covered with John Mayall's Blues Breakers....it is Freddy's song

  • Ca fait bien

  • Now we know where it really started ,he was the Hendrix of his time.Man what pioneer.

  • you do know that SRV didnt write this...

  • What do you mean 'Version" it was his song

  • @tonywilk57 This is actually different from the traditionally heard original recording of this song. This is Freddie re-recording his own tune. Perhaps "rendition" might be a more suitable word to discribe this recording.

  • @tonywilk57

Well Freddie had may versions of this song ,and this one, is pretty close to the top except for his original take.

  • @tonywilk57 I think he means the sound quality, and it is indeed excellent

  • @tonywilk57 he said en una version mas completa .. in a more complete version; a longer version

  • @tonywilk57 he recorded multiple versions of this song

  • Comment removed

  • @tonywilk57 I think he just means "recording".

  • in english!!,,he is the blues king!! 5/5

  • YES OF CORSE!!!.
