The music is tight. Its a classic 70s movie. If you watch The Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie uses music that doesnt fit the scenes. Its good film making.

In the original filmed version, the daughter was found alive and spoke to the parents. They just dubbed over the scene and edited it to at least appear that she was dead when they found her.
To make it more darker. Craven was told by the producers to have her live. So he did, but he thought it screwed up the story. So he edited to make it look like she died.
Well, if this is a 'true story' then they need to stick to the real story. That's what gets me when Hollywood is 'claim' a true story then mess it up.
I understand 'based on a true story' but in the beginning of this movie it said 'a true story'.
i wouldn't believe everything you read. i'm sure the producers decided to make a claim that this was a true story to deliver some added intensity and realism to the viewing experience. the producers of Fargo did the same thing - then later admitted their lie.
