  • @MrMaxwellBrowne Quite rare. But DX QSOs on FM are cool--audio quality.

    I worked some JAs on 10 meter FM--quite a thrill.

  • There is plenty of metal and shielding for the important stuff. The case, regardless of the material, has enough holes in it to not provide much shielding, the real shielding is provided by the interior chassis pieces. I think the radio is made out of the same material (metal) that is used in the small water resistant HT radios. I don't have the radio at the moment so I can't check it out.

  • Nice video! By the way, is it true that IC-7200's body is made of plastic? In that case,

    the body's strength and the leak of spurious are all right?

  • thanks for information. the video is a lot of understandable for As the device works ...

    HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM GREECE

    and well QSO

    73s .....

  • Icom says that they left off the FM so that they could tighten up the roofing filters. We used the radio on 6M last year for one of the VHF contests and it did very well on SSB.

  • nice but has no FM Bad ...... a problem which has not FM Bad;;;;

    thanks

  • Thx for the very informative series of videos on the IC-7200.

  • bon poste, il lui manque le mode FM

    Good post, he misses the mode FM

  • This video series was intended to get the members of our radio club adequately familiar with the radio to use it for field day. I didn't want to provide too much information about how to adjust the radios since most of the operators needed these tutorials had no idea how to deal with a DSP based radio. If I ever a hold of one of radios again I may try my hand at covering the more complex details.
