  • First rule of cougars, never ever talk about her daughter.

  • Reverse psychology.....gets 'em every time.

  • Mrs. Braddock was such a B@tch, she all but blackmailed her son into taking out Elaine. Also, wasn't it funny how Benjamin said "Hello" to Mrs. Robinson and how she just stared at him without saying hello. Also, when Mr. Robinson said to be careful, you don't know what tricks he may have picked up in the East, God how close to home was that although he picked up his tricks in the West.

  • Lmao @ tags

  • The director wanted the bedroom scene to appear as a continuous sequence but he knew that would take too long to film so he invented this technique where she turned the light on and off so they could break it up into individual takes. If you watch the background when the light is switched you can see the windows shift position.

  • Hey, Ben's dad is Mr. Feeny from "Boy Meets World". I recognized the voice.

  • I my own way I kind of feel sorry for Mrs. Robinson. She got pregnant while in College, and maybe she had to get married like alot of women did in those days. I'm sure that when Mrs. Robinson looked at her daughter she saw the wonderful future that Elaine had, she may have felt that she missed out what Elaine was doing. Going to College, Makikng Friends, Taking Courses, etc. Sadly enough alot of Women are "Jealous" of their Daughters. Anyone agree with me.

  • @laminage I always thought she was being protective. She saw her affair with Ben as a dirty habit and didn't want her daughter soiled.

But in general, a woman doesn't want her lover to mess with her daughter. It's just a fact of life. Ask Woody Allen.

  • @doobietubie1 I never thought of it that way, a brilliant analysis. Sadly when you mention Woody Allen and I think of Mia Farrow and how she as far as we know is seeing anyone.

  • I have always believed that benjamin and elaine...were brother and sister. Mrs. R. said "I have my reasons" , and Mr. R. says " I have always felt like you were my own son"

  • @upsidetheflipside i would guess that mrs. r slept with ben's dad and elaine was the result of their affair. just a guess.

  • @upsidetheflipside Interesting theory. That would explain why they have separate bedrooms.

  • everything is white: furniture and walls.

  • I was 14 when I saw this in 1967 & I remember being so turned off by Mrs.Robinson ,her actions &manner. She'd have been the last person I'd be attracted to I thought. A biiter non-romantic old lady! Now at age 58 asumming that cardinally I'm the same person after 44 years, a woman her age would be 14 years my junior.I still identify very much with the Benjamin character & all the adults still look like dolts.I've just one word in closing : "Plastics".

  • @RasMajnouni It was called the "generation gap". You were supposed to trust no one over thirty and a lot of "counter-culture" films of this era demonized the older generation as corrupt and lecherous while the younger generation was portrayed as innocent and pure. The reverse was the reality.

  • @doobietubie1 I truly agree.Myself I was an "Effite snob" as President Nixon called the young left wing.

  • daughter is pretty cute

  • ben is such a chump and a virgin lol

  • obviously she doesnt want him seeing her daughter, how awkward would that be for her like seriously, totally understandable

  • 1:30 Love that face!

  • Mrs. Robinson is so sexy <3

  • what a place for a 1st date

  • Mrs R is a really frustrated bitch and not worth to be a mother if she looks up to her daughter like in 7:57

  • Ann Bancroft is so freakin hot in this movie

  • I would have left my stockings on.

  • i don't get it .. why did he take Elaine to a gentleman's club?

  • @yaya4now2 what a better way to show up to a lady you are "not interested in her"? I mean, he definitely has to find her attractive and pretty, but he doesn't want to engage emotionally just yet knowing that he's having an affair with her mother

  • @yaya4now2 Do you think, maybe, he was trying to sabotage the date?

    partially

  • @humanisteethique yeah, but it can add to the reality

  • i love how he still calls her Mrs. Robinson. this movie cracks me up.

  • What Male hasn't dreamed about a Mrs. Robinson.. Especially Anne Bancroft.

  • Damn, Anne Bancroft is gorgeous.

  • MR. FEENY!!!

  • A Fordd??!!!!!!

  • If this film was made today, it would be directed by Wes Anderson.

  • @laladizzylandhi steven soderbergh

  • Good CHRIST I never remember Mr. Feeny being this much of a prying prick. Shut the fuck up and leave him alone!

  • Haha the bourbon joke always gets me, tehe

  • Good movie good songs.

  • @chirapipat AMAZING movie AMAZING songs.

  • GOD I hate Mrs. Robinson.

  • @KoeHalifax I hate her personality but i LOVE her body :D

  • @KoeHalifax - Why? She's the most interesting person in the film (at least until they make her into a one-dimensional villain toward the end).

  • @curlytoes79 let me elaborate. I do hate her, but I greatly appreciate her as the complex person/villaness that she is. I also do not think she became one dimensional at the end.

  • @KoeHalifax Mrs Robinson is the perfect woman for a young man because:

    1. She's a babe.

    2. She's a nymphomanic.

    3. You don't have to talk to her.
