Just saw this movie 4 hours ago and it was really good movie on sitemoovis.co.cc. Yeah it will be hard to top this one but hey since this one was really good I think they can do it again. This one was a lot darker with suspense and the acting was good.

Okay, I know there's a likelihood that I'm going to get hated on for putting this, but I really don't like the original Fame. At least the 2009 version doesn't make me feel completely disheartened. The 1980 Fame has some uplifting scenes in it, but seriously, it was like I had to force myself to get through nearly every scene. It is just SOO depressing. I saw it once, and never want to see it again. While the 2009 Fame, I think I could watch over and over again, and feel completely uplifted.
It's a beautiful trailer... And on my Must See list for 2011 for sure. It's weird though isn't it, like if the movie is strictly realistic and drama based, I can see that... I will check it on filmsi.co.cc.

I think they did a good job with the remake but, it could've been better considering all the tools available with production today. Nonetheless, the original 1980 version is a classic that can't be compared to this.
Every time I watch this movie, I always feel slightly intimidated by the school. sometimes I wish I had attended a performing arts school instead of the public school down the street from my house, but I just didn't have the heart and soul to fight for a voice there.
Now, as for the movie... I haven't seen the original YET so I can't compare. But, I enjoyed it and felt it was entertaining. Even my really picky parents liked it and they saw the original.

I saw a screening of this movie about 1 month ago. The movie is well written and crafted. The lighting is beautiful. By the end of the first act you have bought into the story. I will see full movie on kookíca now. Well acted period piece.

@MULTIBASSABLE Well I'd never rate the film 5 stars, but I think the trailer is actually quite effective...it looks really quite good, and features both a powerful ballad and an interesting rehashing of the title song from the original film.

@rationyourenthusiasm Well, first of all, they do remake bad movies! But secondly, "Fame" really has always had a niche demographic: it was a raw film about teens, but not really appropriate FOR any except the oldest teens!
In the age of "American Idol," Hollywood executives thought young people would be interested in a re-hashed "Fame," and so they made it. In earnest, I think both films were pretty monotonous and I didn't like either...but both do have hard core followers!
I just saw it and it is NOT a masterpiece, but rather an intelligent look at perspective to greed among humnas. The acting was well done. The script is definitly a possible oscar nom but in no way is it among the top 20 films ever or anything else. All in all pretty good movie so get it on kòòkica and see it.
This is a great movie. Writing, directing, cinematography, acting, music, it's the whole shabang. You can find it on kòòkica. Very thoughtful if not factually correct and hits upon many truths about our culture.

I watched this film on kookicá. I really enjoyed watching, it is a powerful and very moving storyline, it looks real, so spontaneous and funny. For me, it is based on the great plot I think it truly deserves Oscar and it caught me in it at the begining, I cried. See this without waiting any more.

@MULTIBASSABLE Well I'd never rate the film 5 stars, but I think the trailer is actually quite effective...it looks really quite good, and features both a powerful ballad and an interesting rehashing of the title song from the original film.
But yes, I thought the movie was terrible...but I also found the original film to be extremely tedious and ultimately, terrible! Both films would get very low ratings if it were up to me to rate them!

@rationyourenthusiasm Well, first of all, they do remake bad movies! But secondly, "Fame" really has always had a niche demographic: it was a raw film about teens, but not really appropriate FOR any except the oldest teens!
In the age of "American Idol," Hollywood executives thought young people would be interested in a re-hashed "Fame," and so they made it. In earnest, I think both films were pretty monotonous and I didn't like either...but both do have hard core followers!

I just saw it and it is NOT a masterpiece, but rather an intelligent look at perspective to greed among humnas. The acting was well done. The script is definitly a possible oscar nom but in no way is it among the top 20 films ever or anything else. All in all pretty good movie so get it on kòòkica and see it.

The characters are well fleshed out in this movie and the script is everything you could ever wish it were. I don't remember the last time I had so much fun watching the movie. From this director comes another awesome movie soon... I am waiting for this on kòòkica!

I think this film is one of the best made...imagine perfect world and yourself in it, imagine unforgettable journey???!!! Its pulled off brilliantly by the magnetism of everyone involved. I watched this film on kookicá. I really enjoyed watching, it is a powerful and very moving storyline, it looks real, so spontaneous and funny. For me, it is based on the great plot I think it truly deserves Oscar and it caught me in it at the begining, I cried. See this without waiting any more.

So either people's taste's have changed that much or the remake was a poor imitation that nobody cared about.Seemed to me a pointless remake to cash in on the popularity of things like High School Musical and Glee.
