@finemofok there is a store here called GenX. Dunno if they have one anywhere else. But they sell all colors of blank shirts. 100% heavy cotten cheap! 2$ for white. 3$ for color. they also have hoodies and all sorts of other blank stuff.
is it easier to put another ink color on top of another i.e. - how you did the green inside the letter. as opposed to just doing the white border by itself and then inking the green inside of that?
If you do not put the white underneath the green on a dark shirt such as red or blue or black then the green will appear faded. The shirt color will show through the ink in some cases. Sometimes you can get away with not putting a white underlay but I think that by using this method you will get a true representation of the color desired.
i see. Now it makes a lot of sense. most of these videos show printing on white shirts, so this is the first time i saw somebody do that. Looks good...thanks for the quick reply.
Just remember that when you are heating the underlay, do not cure the ink all the way. If the white ink cures all the way the green ink will wash out after the first wash. You just want to gel the ink or dry it just enough thatt wont stick to the second screen.
thanks a lot for the advice. i have yet to print even one shirt, or even get equipment...but i have a REAL interest in getting into this as soon as my funds allow. Your video is probably the most impressive i've seen minus the fact that there's no actual instruction...but its the only video i've come across so far with the kind of simple but creative type prints i want to get started with. You should make more videos my friend.
yeah! I got my flash gun for 8 bucks at a recycle center. works great.

is that a home made press? any other videos on that?

If you work the ink with an ink spatula or a drill you can make the ink flow a little better than straight out of the bucket.

Its water based ink, you cant do that so fast with plastisol.

I got the flash gun at Harbor Freight for $9.99. Beats $400.00 for a real flash if you are not doing large production runs.
