@pierreherz Uh huh? Would you like to eat like that, put one spoon of food on your plate, eat it, and then get another? Do animals in the wild eat like that?
Mental stimulation? Maybe before the first try. Are you mentally stimulated by using a doorknob to open a door?
Most people enjoy eating a spoonful at a time. It is proven that you should eat slow as there is a delay in the signal that says your full from your stomach. Letting your animals chow down often leads to over eating. I will agree that some animals monitor them selves on their own and food can be left out for them but this is rare.
If we are talking about the wild, how often are they just handed over a bowl of food? They have to work for every meal.
@pierrehery Cats aren't human, and when their prey is caught, they eat as much as they can as fast at they can. Yes, they don't catch their own food, but they spend their energy playing and play hunting. Humans don't hunt more either, they buy food and eat. I think it would be annoying to the cat to combine exercise and food.
Let the cat be a cat, with the difference that its given food, don't make it a complicated thing. Thats why it plays, a wild cat will hunt, n not play.
@chaotic1979 I guess it comes down to opinion. Although there are countless pets including 4 of my own that thoroughly enjoy there Kibble Tower. And owners no longer find cat vomit after eating to fast.
awesome!!!
too bad the tower isn't bigger though, say big enough for a weeks worth of food?

isnt this a bit useless, if u want ur cat to eat as much as it want, why not just put the bag there?

The point is to slow down the rate at which your animal is eating to promote healthy digestion. It also provides mental stimulation.

I believe cats in the wild eat just as fast - and nature didn't make them like that to have a bad digestion.
