  • do the jars not need fresh air exchange during incubation? just heat?

  • Please help me..does the mycellium grow INSIDE the cake? i haave a jar thats colonized on all sides of the jar including the bottom, i open the jar and throughout the core of the cake is just the BRF uncolonized..is mycellium supposed to grow THROUGHOUT the cake before birthing? I washed my cake and the thick layer of mycellium was coming off, now i have a cake thats colonized on all the sides besides the bottom now, and throughout the core. What should i do????

  • Do you want to keep the tin foil on or off the jars during incubation? it showed both

  • does eating these shrooms make you trip?

  • @upinsmoke97 not those

  • its by dr. dre and snoop, and good call on the metabolites, its not contaminated. But he did fruit his cakes upside down. Orient them the way they incubated.

  • whats the song in the intro?

  • @inshepherdswetrust the who eminence front

  • is that airpump giving it warm air?

  • Is sunlight imperative for fruiting? I have a situation wherein I would have to keep these things in the dark.

  • @fasolplanetarium

To induce fruiting you need to expose the casing / cakes to light for 12 hours a day.

It does not have to be sunlight , and does not need to be any kind of powerful light source a small wattage light bulb or even a bright white / yellow LED is enough to induce the fruiting stage.

  • @bdh826 dude its contamination i cant believe he just put it back in the jar honestly

  • Yea and you can verify its contam from the image in the video.

Amazing skills you possess. Hell even if it was contam does it really matter?

It is an instructional video describing the process so its just for visual reference. I am sure you get the idea and would not use a contaminated jar.

  • @bdh826 - Metabolites. Usually released by the mycellium when it is struggling to grow with either poor air exchange, not enough resources (substrate/food), or just improper environment for the specific strain of mush/cubes.

I only say that they are metabolites because this guy clearly knows what he's doing. If you're a first-timer, don't just look at funky colors and ignore them before examining it extensively.

  • thank you.........

  • Excellent, thank you for posting the visual information! It's one thing to read the instructions and look at pictures, and a very different thing to watch someone doing it, with great narration! Looking forward to more vids.

  • Whoa! new vid! lol
