  • Sounds Great!!!!

  • Which # is that Magnaflow? I think it sounds pretty good and would definitely have one of those fabbed up for my 325.

  • @bakababy the part number for the "muffler" used in the magnaflow cat back for the E36 m3 is :12268. I'm sure they use the same muffler for the other 6cyl's. enjoy.

  • Dunno if thats really a good modification for you as a driver...Unless you need a higher top end speed youve just killed your low end torqe.(Guess you a motorway speedster=D not a drifter or curcuit racer)

  • not necessarily. i've found there's still plenty of torque for all the drifting i need to do :)

  • Well then the m50b25 does have 192hp so you should still be able to drift, just not with as much low rev power as before. but youve probably got another 10-20kmh at top speed which is sweet..even thou the top speed is already 230kmh lol.(I just finished turning my 320i into a 325i and am keeping the 320i exhaust for lower end torque hehe kill's my top end alittle but I'm not into mass speed=D just drifting). But other than that, SOUNDS FRIGGUN SWEEET!

  • O and If you want, I got a pritty decent list of the best mod's for the engine(With specific's), if you are thinking of more upgrade's in the future.(I've been researching to much for this engine) "Like cam's/bore/piston's/turbo's/superchargers/gasket's/belts etc...pritty much been reasearching anything and everything that would make that specific engine be as fast and strong as possible=D.

  • @tachi203

The later models of the e36 325 gaind Variable valve timing that gave them a bucketload more of low end torque. So losing a little bit for that extra top end can't hurt too much.

  • @577newname Sorry I never noticed your comment :( , I completely agree. It really should not make much of a difference at all as performance exhausts have not been known to change a car's power by more than 2-25 hp except for in out of the ordinary cases where the exhaust was/is restricting airflow or completely lack thereof back pressure causing an adverse effect.

  • @tachi203 I know this is a really old comment, but performance exhaust will not decrease torque unless your car cant self adjust its air/fuel mixture... which typically isn't a problem on any BMW made within the last 30 years unless theres something wrong with it.

  • @millakilla air/fuel mixture? Whats that got to do with an exhaust? aside from burning the catalac converter(if you have one) or the density of the air?. I'm talking about fine tuning/flow restrictions and pressure effects(Or lack there of) and heat transfer. Which are the main aspects of a exhaust system. Depending on these factors in the design of the exhaust itself, it can vary what and where the optimal increase in performance you will get from an exhaust system.

  • @tachi203 It has a lot to do with the exhaust, the various sensors that are connected to and/or dependent on feedback from the exhaust, because a reduction in backpressure lowers the amount of fuel needed to produce the same power, which is why you get a horsepower and fuel mileage gain... You clearly don't have a good understanding of how any of this works. Google the term "exhaust torque myth" and you'll most likely get a lot of other sources telling you the same thing I am.

  • @millakilla (Not that I trust all these dodgy websites that support your theory) But you are partialy correct. I fully understand the exhaust sensor and what it does. But that is just a electronics perspective(that doesnt take into consideration other detrimental factors that an exhaust is made to compensate for), and if you read carefully has very little to do with low end rpm exhaust release. "Note, not all exhaust systems are equal" And the explanation is far to lengthy.

  • @millakilla Actualy read what these guys can explain 4 u :) goto ww(Dot)automotivehelper(Dot)com/topic163228(Dot)htm And read the reply's, That will explain it to you nicely I hope.

  • which modell is it? i want to buy the same one :D its legally now in switzerland the magnaflows!

  • Sounds awesome. Even the weakest of BMW's straight 6's sound amazing.

  • uhhh...what?

  • really good good with the vid, shit sounds tizighttt

  • wow, sounds nice. what magnaflow kit did you use? My charger has almost 400hp, but I still want a beemer and those look fun :P

  • Could you tell a performance increase? Did you do anything else performance wise?

  • Nice sound but let it cut the revs

  • Yeah nice sound! my 320i makes good sound too, i just want it to be louder!

    maybe straight pipes!!

  • Lovely sound and good car control too. Nice to see someone driving properly.

  • i love this fuckin sound

e36 have the best sound from the 3er series

  • how old are you

  • hi i love the sound of your exhaust i was wondering what is the part number

  • cool. that´s sound! BMW E36 THE GREATEST

  • 192 ch ???

  • Sounds identical to my mates old 325, his had the twin exhausts though (dual pipes all along) so he had 2 single 3 inch backboxes and 2x2.5" cat back pipes fitted by powerflow. Result? And ehxuats that looks like any other Twin 3 inch exhaust, but sounded so sexy it was unreal. He woke me up each morning at 5am when he left for work and it sounded so nice.

  • sounds supercharged. beutifull sound. just put straight pipes on my e36 325i coup. awsome sound (quite loud) gives a real nice burble at bottom end.

  • It sounds it but i'm pretty sure it's not, my mates E36 had that whine, i think it's the box or diff ;)

  • Well thats b.c magnaflow makes it sound like a v8 wierd.. but usually you would put that on a truck or muscle car.. Borla woould make it sound really nice..

  • 325 is a 6 cylinder =)

  • i KNOW, but the muffler sounds like it wants a v8 rather than a straight six

  • yeah them gearboxes uses a half-dog half helical gear on the output thats probably it, just sonds louder than normal

  • Bottom line, magnaflows sound really good on German cars and pretty much all cars... Unless it's a honda fart.

  • seatbelt!

  • Yea serious, what did you do.. This is real nice.. Help a fellow 325i owner out.. =)

  • ditto man. like i keep saying. best exhaust sound ive heard on a bmw

  • Please enlighten us on the exact specs of this setup. I would love for my 525iT to sound like that!

  • best sound ive heard so far

  • God lord that sounds amazing! Fabulous

  • what kit did you use?? i want mine to sound like that
