@mrrandomcuber Hey, I'm 14 and I design cars, so you can take this advice from me, you can get those pencils he has in his video, which is a h8. You can pick them up at any hobby store like Hobby Lobby, Michael's, ect. Good luck and keep up the artwork maybe we will work together sometime.

I always do the hidden line trick just like when drawing people, but i hate having to erase them when im done. Erasers need to be pointy too, to get in small areas

respect to you for actually being able to draw on paper and not using computer software for once. well, it only looks like a scirocco, there is too many differences on this one, for exarmplke the bonit shape is to flat to be a scirocco.

It already has the pressed sketch of a car. You simply follow lines and fill with color.

You still did a great job, anyhow. But you should mention it's not a 100% clear drawing.

Your right about the paper not being clean. I use a h8 pencil to do a rough sketch of the car i am going to draw. It aids in perspective and allows me to sketch the final product rather quickly. Watch my latest vid up to the 30second mark. Thats is what i do in h8. No pressing.

Call it cheating if like. and its not full on tracing.

Also, this isn't a how to vid.

Agree with you buddy,

You can see right away since pro artist does not rotate paper and draw lines in the way he presented here.:) If you rotate paper you lose image of the picture. Could you imagine L DA Vinci rotate Mona Lisa!:)

Anyway, pre-sketch drawings are supported for practicing drawing and sharpening perspectives.

No he didn't take any classes. It's pretty obvious from the way he's drawing it. No guide lines, no perspective lines, not even rough drafting or outlines. And these are just really basic stuff designers know about.

But that's what art is, self learned, self applied, self invented. While every designer with a degree will draw you a car exactly how every other designer with a degree does, every self taught artist will draw you something completely unique in his or her completely unique way.

@Citiclown I always do the same, but its not bc I couldnt think of nice rims what so ever, lol its to let the imagination fill the blacks, since you can put any rims youd like. but the body of the car is what matters, if you want to see rims search for that in specific ;). I only draw rims if I want to make a painting, but if I just want to lay a disign on paper, I just draw the body, :) just to hold the idea, you know?

Well, what i mean with 3x speed is that the speed has been CUT in HALF 3 times. It took around 28 mins. so, 28mins becomes 14mins, and that becomes 7mins after the third time.

Great vid, what maes it for me is the black pen!, It akes it look so much better, I do alot of drawings myself but Ive never thought of doing the bottem in a think layer of black. You should try doing that car again in colour!...BTW-this is my fav vid XD

i use a 6h (barely visible) for construction lines to get the shape i want.

Then i work with an hb, shade with hb and 2b for darker spots.

Black is just a prisma black marker.
