I hold wonder in the one who made the thing, through the thing, not the method used to discover it, albeit it is a good method of finding truth, science and philosophy.

Hey guys...I'm a christian, and I've just been reading some of the comments on here...Just a word to those claiming to be christians...if you're going to sit here and insult non-believers, for absolutely no reason, don't do it in the name of Christ. Because when you sit there and bag on everyone, and even SWEARING at them, then you're completely misrepresenting the name of Christ. You keep it up, and when you did, Jesus will only say to you, "Depart from me, for I never knew you."

I find it amazing that in this day and age of technology and the wonders of science, people STILL believe in a god! That's like another five leaps forwards, then one hundred steps back to the nonsensical belief system where things that cannot exist are controlling people today! Amazing and unbelievable. But...if people need that man-made comfort blanket, then good on you if it helps you throughout your life. Apart from that, I've just discovered DC Talk and like the music, but not the lyrics

@digitalbroadcaster You seem to not understand the difference between discovering a thing and making a thing. You hold wonder in the method of discovery ("science"). I hold wonder in the one who made the thing, through the thing, not the method used to discover it, albeit it is a good method of finding truth, science and philosophy.
I'd have to use the scientific method to show you something God supplied but there is not much I can do to make you believe he actually did.

God is just a system made to control by fear in those long ago days. Today, the believers of this god are an ever diminishing number (excluding the USA, even though the majority there do not believe as they used to). Even those whom preach are corrupt and just want money. Therefore, god is just wealth.

In my opinion, god does not exist and never has, except in the minds of those who need it to. Jesus Christ I believe, was perhaps a real person who also believed as you do. In those days though, people believed more of things that they could not explain. Imagine transporting (for example only) David Blaine back to those days. He would be seen as a god.

If your god was so powerful, why hasn't he/she/it shown him/her/itself to the world by now and saved everything and everybody from all these disasters?
And who, or what, made this god? Nothing can just 'appear' from nothing. As for you knowing Jesus Christ? Okay. Good for you. Look at w ww dot jesus never existed dot com. Eye opening to say the least. More and more people are becoming non-believers of god now and I think, give it 30 years, nobody will believe in that entity.

And...who, or what, made this god? 'He' couldn't have made 'himself' as that is not possible for something that didn't initially exist to make itself.

The belief in God will never go away, i'm 22, and i would never teach my children that. The reason you may believe what you do, is because you are surrounded completely by un-believers. If you Google about numbers of believers in god, you will read that most (yes, it reads 'most') people are now disbelieving the 2000 year old story about god. But it's fine that you believe. I have to disgree with you that God is a social code for insecuirty. Perhaps I don't understand exactly what you mean by that! When Christianity began it was hardly a code for social "security" considering early believers were tortured and killed by the social leaders of the day. By security do you mean it gives hope that death isn't the end?

@cardenasnicole Nothing can exist without being created. It is also common knowledge that believers in god are becoming less and less. The younger generation do not believe in god so as the older generations die through age, the newer non-believers will take over and teach THEIR children that god is just something made up in a story book as a play of Shakespeare is.
You are merely a human being who has no proof that god exists except from the brainwashing that has been drilled into you.

Reason i don't is, because it's jsut a bit to far fetched for me to simply believe in something that's been told out of a book, it's kinda like believing in superman or something.
