  • Died after 6 months if his released? that makes me cry :'(

  • Surreal!

  • This video revived an old - but minor in comparison - memory of false accusation in my own life. I've posted about it on my blog and embedded this video along with it.

Thank you all for the work you do.

  • I don't mean to turn this into a racial thing, but has anyone noticed a lot of these exonorees are African American or other minorities? I think it shows something about what racial profiling can do.

  • @NeilFraudstrong That's not inappropriate at all - race is a factor in wrongful convictions. 172 of the 254 people exonerated through DNA testing to date (67%) are members of minority groups.

  • Thanks for saying so. I just didn't want it to look like I was trying to play the race card, you know what I mean? I am white myself, but to deny the fact that minorities are targeted, if only subconsciously, is ignorance in my opinion. This video was tough for me. On one hand, I feel great joy, but then when I hear "My name isAlan Newton, I served 22 years.." I think, "Wow! I am 23 years old, will be 24 this year. His youth, early adulthood, gone." That makes me get a lump in my throat.
