  • remember you always have a strong hold.......bigtoast2011@yahoo.com

  • Oh i remember seeing this when i was a little girl. But i couldn't understand what it was about since i was so little.

  • A nation is only as strong as its people

  • Corrupt Indian Agents (CIA) website exposes a "Indian Education Policy Scheme" that threatens Native Peoples Treaty Rights!

  • i like you...

  • The little boy who got shot looks like i did when i was little.

  • @unit348 I know what you mean I still have to see a film that resembles me when I was little.

  • I am glad someone finally told me reservations are rich. On you-tube there are other videos saying that people are starving in there. that is why I asked. I am glad for Natives are doing well. God bless you all and I wish to whole world would be very prosperity and plenty to eat. Well, if the reservations are very rich maybe I can move there. Can the reservations help Palestinians? If you are so rich can you guys help Muslim children in the Middle East? Israel starves them and kills them. .

  • I just want it know why reservations are not developing? Please can someone explain it to me? I am very curios. really. What is the real truth why poverty there still exist.

  • @64Hulya Native Americans have the fastest growing population and economy in the world.

Google this: "Native Americans are the second wealthiest minority" , you see how our economy is growing.

  • When I watched this movie I felt like I was hit by a truck. When I became U.S citizen I never knew about U.S history. I regret becoming U.S citizen because it is all phony being free and American dream. I cannot wait to go back to my native Land Turkey. Real freedom is there not here. Native Americans are treated worse then Animals. This movie tells all truth. One Day you will be free in your lands Native Americans one day. God bless you and hears your cries.

  • Insallah!!! means as god wishes. One day this land will fall to the hands of Native Americans again. Allah will make America Muslim, and Justice will come to Natives and for all people. ,God send Europeans to free them from Church and Kings. What Europeans did to Native Americans and slaves is not gods wish. The creator does not torture. humans do. The crime you do is not from God. One day this country is going to be so poor every Americans are going to another countries for food and work.

  • I cannot believe the poverty they live in. It is like third world country. Why reservations are not developed? Unbelievable. I do not see justice for all. Sorry Americans!! action speaks louder than words. Seeing this is very sad. Their cry and poverty is really sad. My country Turkey looks better than United States of America. Really!!

  • @64Hulya Americas dark history , Hidden from us all , and in constant denial ... right up there with slavery.

  • superb and eyeopening. Among all the great lines Graham Greene has some funny ones...so great.

  • white cloud? like david white cloud burkhart the flute player? OH NO NOT THE FLUTE PLAYER

  • If anyone knows the name of the band in my profile videos, please tell me! I am dying to know! thanks!

  • As some relatives mentioned its like a reality show. For years why this attempt by 'other's' to make a people silenced, hungry, thirsty and controlled. Where is the honor and dignity, and what is being defended by the controller's?Is it the billions of $ in minerals taken from the Black Hills? This done to a people who have among the highest levels of devotion for the Earth and all life.

    Realy good, thank you

  • just great..BELLA.. CiAo

  • This movie was shown on TV in Spain, but few people knew it is a reality in which so many of our people still live...one of the reasons I am in Spain...to talk up on TV,radio and they gave my conference a whole page of honor...the reporter had tears running down...Mischa Little Bear

  • The US has some 'splainin' to do.

    Free Leonard Peltier

  • too bad Indian movies nowadays just make fun of their sad conditions rather than saying something....I.E. Blue Gap Boyz, Smoke Signals, etc....

  • This movie was on T.v. a couple of nights ago....I can tell not all Natives are fond with 'White men' I wouldn't be if my home land was taken...would any of you who have lived in one place for generations be up rooted and moved countless times....Of all the different blood lines I guess that people have in them...I claim My Native Blood over all

  • i watched this moviwe when i was 10 in 2000. and i had really loved it.

  • 1:06 I love the Warriors Society Flag flying in the back ground!

  • Hey all support your fellow indians.. to view some Native american comedy, watch TheRez2Rez videos, RATE COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE

  • In real-life, Val Kilmer is part Cherokee himself

  • @Deader87 oh brother...Part-Cherokee, all Hollywood.

  • @Conduit13C That's right Bro

  • And it had a wonderful actor in it, Josh Drum, who was a nice and funny guy, and who passed on way too early.

  • @christm5

Depends on your ancestors and your openness to the absolute truth. If there is a divine project for you, your ancestors will bring it to you and they have their ways to get your attention.

  • acenname " Real people made this music and this film"

Wir brauchen noch mehr von diesen eindeutigen, aufklärenden Filmen. Danke, Michael Apted u. an Acenname für´s reinstellen.

  • beautiful!! this is in my top 3 all time favorite movies because if its fantastic native themes....and the truth which it spills out onto the screen like wine! I've seen it in excess of 50x, and it will always remain one of my top choices of "what to watch on movie night"! (not to mention, Graham Greene & Val Kilmer...2 pools of drool in one! yummmmmmmm!!!)

  • to follow the ways of the earth has given me the rewards and benefits of her guidance by granting me any wish, and even allowing me to give to others, as i have recieved from mother earth, hers is the way of true happiness. to follow the ways of your "civilization", the so called parliamentary democracy hypocrisy which is at odds with the earth is a sure way to lose and to fail

  • Obama is a stooly and a dog of the greater powers he serves. theres no spirit in this curr of the "illuminati" Thunderheart is a great movie. it has truths beyond words. the great native peoples are the children of this earth. the evil of civilization willfade and the ghosts will come back

  • Obama hasnt done shit for the Navajo nation well 80'000 of us Din'e People live in poverty without Electricy And water and they give money to hurricane katrina victims who barely lived without electricty and water Well we NAtives lived in povetry For 500 years

  • unbeliavable. this is sickening. when you think of the great and peacefull natives who lived in harmony with this earth for 10 000 years, what did they get as a reward? extermination and poverty. its really disgusting but in america unless you complain and start to raise hell people just ignore you. an infierior morality born of an inferior age. earth is crying, she will heave and usurp these infidels. my soul cries for the native peoples. when i sit in the forest i meditate about their wisdom

  • @bobilla Yep, that's are legacy.

  • @bobilla Native american's were offing each other long before any "infidel" ever showed up on any shore! You make it seem as though natives were living an Avatar type life! BTW...So tell me about this reward we were SUPPOSE to get from the Creator for living in harmony with the Earth?

  • @LDKBBAB the point is they fought and killed eachother, yes, but they didn't destroy the earth. Here in NY the confederacy people were so firerce and warlike, they had to continuously adopt prisoners and others into their nation just to keep going, but New York would hav remained vital and alive if left to them. Instead the area is polluted and destroyed. Living clean planet is its own reward, isn't it?

  • @LDKBBAB Now this is not some kind of Christianity, where we get rewards in heaven for good deeds on earth, and not even some kind of Buddhism where we get our rewards in the next life. This is an Earth religion, which means that we get our rewards along the way, or that the way is the reward. So your reward is what you got right now and how you see that. Life is the reward for living. Simple enough?

  • @acenname That's the dumbest thing I have ever read...With all the pain and suffering in the world much of it against children. You say they should be thankful for all that. You sound like some dumb idealistic wannabe, get out into the world a little before you spew such nonsense. Jack-ass!

  • @LDKBBAB @acenname Who says what? What nonsense? It obviously was not simple enough for you. Oh, well. Maybe if you read it again and think it over?

  • @bobilla great and peaceful? ha ha we were warriors our fierceness in battle is legend the mere mention of an indian back in the day struck fear in the heart of white people. when you sit in the forest meditate on why we were so intune with nature maybe you'll figure out it's more than to just appreciate the beauty of nature.

  • @bobilla the natives were not as peacefull as you might say,but they were very spiritual and they started to losses that because of us and our wars in they home land, the same thing happened to the aboriginies(australian natives) to the zulus and more, for what?for a piece of land that do not belong to us,but us to that belong to the land.

  • @iwanttoseeeverything It really depends on the tribe. People tend to think of the indigenous people as the "native americans" when there where thousands of different tribes each with their own customs and culture.

  • I blane Joe Shirley to be honest. =/ He hasn't done shit.

We are our own nations, we don't need to rely on the USA to help us because our politicians are terrible.

  • may be that the Illuminati no longer live but we know not

    this despite the well arange!

  • I couldn't agree with you more Bobilla. My heart cries for the nations that lived here first. I have 2 different tribal bloods then the rest is European, my soul agrees that we should live as 1 with our Mother Earth. I love this movie with Val and Graham. I only wish that Congress would have listened to Chef Sealth a long time ago, instead he was spat upon. It's truly sad. I live by Chef Sealth's words as well as the Wise Woman Tradition of; love, respect and honor. May you walk in beauty.

  • You are lucky indeed to have such a tradition. i from eastern europe sadly outr people have forgotten their tribal lore and mostly are power hunfy thieves. i feel the shamanistic spirit in me but i wish i could have spoken to an elder shaman. unfortunately the wisdom of the great american natives falls on deaf ears here in this country. im gona add you to my friends list. take care

  • Thanks Bobilla! There are books and also your own practice to connect with your spirit guides to help you. Some natives are helpful and some are deeply wounded. Did I really say chef? I meant Cheif!!! I knew that was wrong when I typed but didn't catch it. Oh well...I have found the traditions of matriachal societies to be very similar no matter what continant you are on.

  • @bobilla

You are making some very wise observations!

  • i think america wont last long as such country, it is on a collision course with the earth, and the earth is mightier

  • I think China will go first with what they have done with their factories, pollution and the big dam that distroyed so many small villages and history. Then again Americans don't like being second best. Brightest Blessings!

  • Val Kilmer was the least likely person to be their biggest advocate. All of the scenery is the same but everything happens in the opposite way in the end.

  • I loved this movie, he's having 'blood memories' because he's a part of these people and didn't know it.

  • VERNON yes they do nothing and get away with shooting woman and little children but isnt that what has been going on for centuries??

If you are working for them then you are exempt from the laws, thy don't apply.

    pony out

  • FREE LEONARD PELTIER!!!!!!!!!

  • Well we did it!! THUNDERHEART movie was on TV last night!! wow we must have made that happen.

think what we can do if we keep up this strong commitment to truth and justice!!

    kEEP DOING IT!

    thanks...pony out

  • karashan, you can get this video just go to those old video stores that sell them. My point was that they removed it at all.. why is it so threatening to see. I watch it often but it tends to get me mad and evoke too many emotions so I watch it sparingly. hey maybe thats what theyre worried about.Yo, I was in a small town in Georgia there was a monument of a confederate soldier in towns square what does that say? Long live the rememberence of those who were in favor of salvery? Nice.

  • Hi pony again. I posted again yesterday but it did not appear. dont know why. I think I may have made a comment on freedom in this country not too popular to say stuff like that. sorry Ill say more appropriate things just not what I really think anymore. where is it okay to say anything you want?

  • They took this movie off of the shelves?!?!? Thats bull this is one of the greatest movies ever made, and it shows more of native american history than just putting them on the res and its over. no its not over there is still more.

  • I know I am old. But I have this movie on VHS and am in the process of converting all of my movies to DVD. The fact that they have taken it off the shelves sucks. Just like if you go to the book store and try to find a book on the history of Germany. All you will see is Hitler shit.

  • Pardon Leonard Peltier!!! Obama has absolutely NO comments or thoughts on anything Native American.. How can he totally ignore a people who were not only here but are the indigenous people on this soil which is now America the "Beautiful". Come On OBAMA get with it and recognise the Naative american people and thier rights and honor your word and honor the treaties your country made!

  • My Name is ttrickpony and I thin Obama should pardon Petier after all these years there has been no resolution to this awful episode which is without a doubt such a huge black mark on the USA that they removed this video from the shelves at all Blocksuster video stores. They dont want you dont want you to see the... TRUTH but it is the TRUTH..

  • nya:weh for the vid

  • RUn ! Thunderheart! Run, for the strong hold...

  • that was a great movie. This trailer shows different scenes in chronological order of when they happened in movie. Movie was on last week and have been thinking about it since then

  • it took me a while..to get it but yup it is alittle changed but based on the true story of AnnaMae Aquash during the turmoil during the times of AIM surrounding this story which took place at the Pine Ridge Reservation. Still in controversy no resolution so far.

  • is this a true story

  • did u know that this dvd was removed from all the blockbuster stores. They dont want you to see the truth. btw Obama should pardon and free Peltier, rather than propose the ridiculous idea of a "Native American Day" the day following thanksgiving..what an insult!!

  • Omg sheila Tousey is my aunty =D

  • AWESOME SOUNDTRACK

  • My favorite line in the movie is when Graham Greene calls Val Kilmer a Washington Redskin!

  • Sorry, but it's Richard Yellowhawk, the dude in the wheel chair that keeps calling Levoi a Washington Redskin.

  • sometimes jimmy looks three times

  • power real power is not in paper but in the water and the wind...listen to the wind...

  • I used to have this on dvd,but my sisters borrowed it and lost it,this movie was filmed on the Oglala Rez here in South Dakota, also The Badlands, the old man in the movie was from Mission,SD,my hometown, remember the blue camper they was shooting up?,its still there today and the bullet holes too, that was in Wamblee,SD,I been there many many times

  • wow that is unbelievalbe. I found out that this dvd was removed from all the shelves at blckbuster you have to look hard to find it. they dont want you to see the truth. btw how about obama pardens peltier as a more worthwhile move than his idea.. making a "native american day" the day after thanksgiving. what an insult!!!

  • TRUE

  • @acenname This movie was on TV in Spain, but few people know that this is still a reality for many of our people...that is why I am in Spain, talking up on TV and radio interviews, they even gave my conference a whole page in their newspaper...the reporter had tears coming down...Mischa Little Bear

  • This is one of my favorite movies, I've seen it a dozen times. I moved to Montana years ago and went to a few rez, one night that movie was on TV and a friend came along and said that he also loved the movie and its ending. I'm back in France now and I sure miss the people from Montana and the place !

  • looks like the same reservationas in dreamkeeper

  • it is its pine ridge

  • this is one of my favorite native american films behind smoke signals

  • I know the guy who played "hobart"(the kid who got shot)his name is Silvan Pumkinseed LOL we got drunk togethor and his aunt knocked him off his chair.

  • Does Hobart still have that sweet G.I. Joe? He must have reall loved that thing to get shot over it!

  • he has long hair.he turned 21 so he bought the beer with all his amnesty money.(about $5.75).

  • Cool vid... my father was in this movie.... I used to spend every summer out on the very Rez they filmed the movie at when I was a little girl....

  • continued from entry below; no one stands a chance against our prayers and no one stands a chance against our love. Our higher power however you know him/she is the only one who has the supernatural power to resolve the wrongs. In the meantime, we can act as the instruments of our higher power. It is within each of us. I am 'know' I am connected to the Brule'(supernaturally) & grateful for it.

    Respectfully,

  • Hi fellow earth tribe members. You can get the DVD for as little as $6.99. Google it;

search "thunderheart+dvd"~~it is available for rent through "NETFLIX" This is a true story, based on fact 'HOLLYWOOD' style~the reservation is on uranium rich soil. The water was poisoned with the mining of it. The woman was killed because she discovered it. Our nuclear waste repositories of depleted uranium (Yucca Mtn.,etc) the d.u. can be used for nuclear weapons~AMEN~AHO

No one stands a chance against..

  • This is one of my faves...I have watched it again and again...know it word for word...

  • This was an awesome flick!!!

  • This movie is not only a movie but a reality in life against us indigenous people. What is the movie's name?

  • Thunderheart

  • @Coahuiltecan THUNDER HEART

  • Nice song for the video compliation, shows the tragedy of the treatment of the government over Native people. Remember, "As long as the Grass grows, as long as the waters flow", Fort Laramie Treaty. Watch for a miracle soon to come for the Great Sioux Nation that have been fortold in a vision!

  • You wanna share that "Vision"? It takes real people to change things not hopes in a fantasy that only keeps you not doing anything, just waiting!!!

  • Real people made this music and this film.

  • damn I Spelled Movie Wrong !!

  • OH and Deadsea3.... Read some Books it might help you're current condition..

  • This Move Is Not In Rental Stores Because It shows how PERFECT and Fair The USA was to its Native people... We don't want MOST flag waving/bush-supporting Americans knowing The TRUTH on how Native people had this nation raped and stolen!! because it NEVER happend.... Right ?

  • I love this film. I havent seen it in such a long time. Cant find it at any movie rental stores, damn the luck.

  • Free Leonard Peltier!

  • Free Leonard Peltier is right, Thunderheart is an example of how the government treats Native People. POW/MIA of our Red Earth warriors in prison worldwide!

  • you sweet little goth-moralists, so troubled by the bad, bad christians and each others' questionable logic.

  • I must correct myself. I quoted Maggie Eagle Bear saying "the Mayflower landed" but I just remembered it was Columbus she was referring to, not the Mayflower. I am terribly sorry.

    May you walk with beauty.

  • "Dance Me Outside" and "Last of the Mohicans" (with Eric Schweig)were good movies too.

  • This is one hell of a good movie! I loved the way the Lakota stopped the assholes from killing Crow Horse and Levoy at the end!!

  • Run, run Thunderheart. The soldiers are coming...

  • Thanks and blessings for your post.

  • We need more movies like this!!! Come on, people--we gotta write some stories and get them on the big screen!!! It's f***ing LONG overdue!!!

  • this movie is the fukin shit

  • Lies Mx. kill my stray kittens feed , say on cars , what the F, Liars, drug dealer/pushers of "organized" crime "trying" to harass , which I Fight to End , Mx. indians all the same , jews promote "indians" only cause of their corrupt F-ing casinos....send to Hell from whence "they" came

  • Your narrow minded ignorance is showing

  • I pondered for quite some time on how best to respond to this. I was unable to come up with anything that would match its blasphemy. I've decided not to criticize you or shoot down what you believe. Instead, might I suggest doing some research and to not comment on any subject of this matter, that is until you are more informed.

  • I fully agree with ShaolinScholar, you MUST research the history of the native peoples of North America so you can see how badly they were treated and it is still happening today, all you have to do is read your comment.

This land was not polluted until over 200 years ago. Everyone and living creature and plants and rocks were respected until "the Mayflower landed". Thanks Maggie EagleBear for that quote.

  • I've always admired the strength of North American Natives for rejecting "at gun point" the racist christian religion.

Sad but true, the weak Hispanic and Black accepted christianity at the end of a gun becoming slaves to those who preached jesus,

That blows my mind, just like those who rejected christianity and lived to talk about it.

  • A wonderful book about the history of what happened to the natives in North America otherwise known as "Turtle Island" is properly titled "Custer Died for Your Sins".

It sickens me how Christianity took over the world and then modestly say they are the true faith, just look at how many people believe in Jesus.

Another great book to read about how religion controls your life is called, "God Is Not Great. How Religion Ruins Everything".

Your soul has nothing to be saved from.

  • Zylophila:

The only salvation the world needs is from the Murderous christian.

  • gwbushthePoS,

That is so true!!! I stand corrected while laughing my ass off!!!

  • Zylophila:

The world would agree it would be better off without christians and that PoS g. w. bush

  • gwbushthePoS,

Have you seen those bumper stickers that read, "No Jesus; no peace"? It's been well over 200 years since Jesus and millions of followers; so why don't I see any peace? Do you?

  • Zylophila:

Peace only comes at the end of gun barrel.

"No Jesus; no peace" is just another chapter from the Fantasy Story Book called the "bible".

Beware of those that preach from Fantasy Story Books.

  • I like the way you think; it makes sooooo much sense! Better then any Sunday I spent repressed, depressed, and opressed at church. I only spent a small partion of my life trying to see what the fuse was over praising to a hateful, jealous, homophobic, woman hating, earth hating diety. It was a waste of time. Don't know why people just suck it all up. A dear friend of mine told me, "If all the bibles in the world burned in a huge bonfire, I'd be the happiest person alive." I would be too!!!!!!!!!

  • Zylophila:

    You're easy to please!

I would only find happiness if every christian was Murdered by the same methods they Murdered hundreds of millions of human beings over Fantasy Story Book Stories.

  • Think about what you just said; you will be just as bad as them. You are BETTER than that.

Don't let hate turn you into one of them. Reach up and beyond those barbarians. Smoother them with love that does NOT include FEAR and show that you are NOT a sheep and you will not follow stupidity.

I just go where "they" tell me to!

  • Zylophila:

Your history class should have taught you that christians have no love and that christians will use words of love to weaken you into betraying your own race so they can butcher you and all race traitors.

View YouTube: Pre-emptive nuclear strike on Iran

If you don't look like that PoS g. w. bush you're good as dead!

  • gwbushthePoS,

Yes, they probably should have taught that, but they are christians themselves and hence they hide their hate, fear, bigotery, and destruction behind their words of love. What we need to do is not hate, not fear, not be like them.

I live with the earth and no missionary can take that away from me. I just smile at them and tell them that they should read "The Spiral Dance" by Starhwawk, witch is a much better book them the bible.

I'll look at the nuclear strike, thanks!!!

  • Zylophila:

They can't take anything away from you but they can take your life with a bullet and they will do it with a smile and without a care in the world.

You have as good a chance of getting christians to read your book as you have getting me to read it.

I know christians and I know what christians will do and if you let christians continue to get away with murder because it's not your people today... history will repeat itself.

  • false mex. (cruel drug dealers/pushers) sent "dogs" to kill poor stray Cats and Kittens , claimed jumped on their shitty cars, oh come on, more than their ugly vandalistic rat children as them, jews promote indians only for casinos, indians and mex. can prove same genes, lying jews

  • I have this film ,it's ace.Last of the dog men is another good film.

  • Thank you so much for this video.

Great movie directed by Apted inspired by the events on Pine Ridge and Leonard Peltier's Story.

    Spread the word!

  • Listen to the wind ...59, nail him! Greatest movie ever!

Don't trust mister magoo, he needs to put himself on the mountain, to get some focus! Viva Grandpa Fools Crow!

  • THIS LAND IS NOT FOR SALE!

  • Yeah!!

  • Ive seen this movie ,the ending is the best part.Lone hawk would love the end too?.
